Hi Gettingtherequickly - welcome to the thread. As already mentioned, I got my 6.5 stone award last week. Like Bubbs, I lost the first 3-4 stone pretty quickly but it's taken me almost a year to get the last stone off as I just seemed to faff around within the same 7lbs! Being a teacher, I struggle during holidays as we're often away and quite often that involves all inclusive! I seem to put on weight very easily so everytime I've been away for a 2 week holiday I seem to put on between 12 and 16lb!! Not willing to not enjoy my holidays though.
I think I was also putting too much pressure on myself. Depriving myself of nights out and turning down social invites. Once I change my mindset, I found the weight started coming off again.
In January, I joined the gym and have been going regularly and I think that has also kick started the weight loss again. I've lost more in the last month than I did in the whole of July-Dec last year! I think upping the amount of speed on my plate has also had a big impact as I realised that I tended to squeeze it on after everything which kind of defeats the purpose. So perhaps try increasing the speed food so you truly have 1/3 on your plate.0 -
Kathryn - it's another week now. Just start again. You'll soon lose that small gain.

Good day today.

Snack: almonds (HEB) apple
Dinner: beef bourgignon (2) and cauliflower rice0 -
Probably shouldn't be posting this but what the hell!
Huge NSV for me today. Managed to fit myself into size 14 top and trousers in Asda. I wasn't even a size 14 when I left school for University fourteen years ago! Definitely not a actual size 14 and I've still got a few pair of size 16 jeans that I'm still trying to squeeze into but I'm taking that victory and running with it! I did a little dance in the changing room! Size 26 down to 14(kind of!)
Decided to do a face to face comparison as well. So many chins! No neck and now I've found a collarbone I didn't know I had! I really hate looking at my wedding pictures and wish I'd done this before I got married!
Another on plan day for me and a LBT class at the gym. Weigh in tomorrow.0 -

Wow MissTeach what a transformation! Those photos look like two different people ...and I suppose they are! I saved some photos of my SW journey and I'm getting OH to take one of me next week when I'll be dressed up for a 'do'. I won't be posting them but I'll enjoy looking at them, especially if I need a kick up the bum in future!
Welcome Gettingtherequickly to this brilliant thread.
Today started well and ended rubbish. Took DGD out for tea to the big yellow M - I'd intended not eating at all but was very hungry and succumbed - 24 syns (checked afterwards of course) and most definitely not worth it! Two very low syn days coming up..
Could I have some suggestions for what to drink in a pub when I'm not drinking alcohol? I dislike fizzy pop but end up with diet coke because I can't think of anything else to have. I have slimline tonic occasionally but I'd like a longer drink. I don't mind squash but that tends to be over sweet in pubs and the alcohol free beers have some syns and aren't widely available. Short of sneaking in my own in my handbag like I did in my teens, has anyone got any ideas? Many thanks.0 -

I'm tee total, so my drink of choice is soda water & lime if that helps, most places tend to ask if I want a 1/2 pint or pint.A smile costs little but creates much0 -
Over on syns yesterday so definitely need a very low syn day today!
I tend to drink diet tonic at a pub when I'm not drinking alcohol. At home I often have diet ginger beer , prefer Old Jamaica but can't always get it (sometimes find it in Lidl).
Today's low syn day:
B - baked spicy oats, mixed frozen berries, quark - HEB
L - jacket potato, beans, salad
D - chicken, squash and sweet potato tagine, couscous
HEA - milk
HEB - porridge
Syns - none planned

Morning all
Working from home again today. Glad to be as the weather is foul; no fun riding a bike in the rain! Today's plan:
B - Fruit with FF yog and (literally) a handful of granola
L - LO Beef ragu pasta bake
D - Another pasta bake with chicken, quark, onions, peppers, leeks and peas. Served with tenderstem brocolli and cabbage
HEX A - Cheese on the bake
HEXB - No idea
Edited to add - I am RAVENOUS today so have added the following:
1 slice wholemeal bread
2 poached eggs
Half a tin of tomatoes.
All after my lunch0
