    I used to do the count and latterly polling station. The count was always busy, so time passed quickly, especially with some of the daft comments/accusations flying around. I did the polling station in my village (handy), but, with an electoral roll of under 400, it made for a long day. I once kntted a whole jumper! Voters only arrive as soon as you decide it’s time to eat, by the way.

    Yes, esmy, I realised that they were series firsts - and I knew about Jack Reacher’s build! It’s not as bad as changing the end of “Captain Corelli’s Mandolin” though – and Nicholas Cage is just wrong! Can you tell I've never got over that?
    Ssm, DD read Eleanor Oliphant and loved it; it’s set in Glasgow, although it’s not named!

    Well, I survived the snack attack last night despite OH opening a bottle of white and packet of crisps.

    I had a bowl of melon and a pint of water! Totally surprised myself and him!
