Grr! DH bought me a new MacBook at the weekend and when I tried logging on I couldn't remember the log on details and was having problems with the new password they sent me! It's taken most of the afternoon and evening to get back on but at last I'm back on!

Well done Miss Teach on being our SOTW.

Good to see you back Kathryn, well done of the 2lb loss. Glad to hear your DD came through the op OK.

Part of our wall and fence fell down this morning in the severe winds but DH has managed to prop it back up on a temp basis - just hope it holds!

    Today's plan:

B - coconut flavoured baked oats; raspberries, strawberries, grapes, quark
L - carrot & lentil soup - was really needed after going to the hospital for a blood test this morning and doing a bit of shopping
D - butter chicken (7 syns:eek:); rice. It was nice but not worth the 7 syns - will make again but will make a SW syn free one next time!

    HEA - milk
    HEB - oats
Syns - 7 for butter, cream etc in the butter chicken; Hifi bar 3

Can't see me losing this week but will try and rein back in a bit over the next day or two to limit the damage!

Still struggling here. +0.6lbs today. My own fault. I am back to weight I was 2nd week in January!

Skim reading, so congrats, losers & SOTW. Hugs for those in need.

Ssm, in our village there is a school (3 teachers), no shops, 2 churches and a millpond! Oh congrats on your transformation!

I love cream teas, maman. Sadly.

I’ve not read grey either, beanie. I’ve got a pretty eclectic taste too. I have too many unread books, so I’ve given myself the challenge of reading the alphabet by title this year, trying not to buy any. So far I’ve read
“According to Yes” – Dawn French, “The Black Swan” – Nassim Nicholas Taleb, “Cast Iron” – Peter May, “The Darkest Goodbye” – Alex Gray, “Even Dogs in the Wild” – Ian Rankin, “Force of Nature” – Jane Harper, “A German Requiem” – Philip Kerr, “Hidden Depths” – Anne Cleeves, “I am Missing” – Tim Weaver. At the moment I’m struggling with “J” – Howard Jacobson. All of these books were on my shelves! I don’t have a book with a title that starts with “K” so I’m going to have to try the library for that. Does anyone have any suggestions? I’m not keen on sci-fi or dystopian novels (why I’m struggling with ‘J’). I’m ok after that until ‘X’, I think.

Also I’m in a bad mood. Last Monday had to get electrician because all sockets downstairs stopped working and the trip switch wouldn’t reset. He found out that it was the washer drier that caused it. No probs, I’ve got a maintenance plan. Earliest appointment was today so I’ve been relying on DD and DDiL to keep us in clean clothes. Engineer came. WD worked fine for him, but he replaced the fan as it had a little fluff on it. He said it might have been the main board, but that was ‘expensive’ (fan was £270) but that isn’t my problem. He was away 10 mins when it blew the sockets again. Called for repair, earliest is Friday. I’ve spent most of the afternoon trying to get someone sooner, as, if it is main board, it doesn’t sound like they’d carry one and I’ll have to get yet another appointment, but best they’d offer was ‘someone from appeals team will contact me in the next 48 hours!’ Grrrrrr! Rant over. Just noticed your issues, TIE. Makes mine insignificant.

Glad to read the good news about your daughter’s op, Kathryn.

Breakfast: ML banana & custard yogurt, banana, hexb toast & jam (2)
Lunch: baked potato, hexa cheese, coleslaw (1), Milbona Greek style lemon yogurt
    Snack: mini caramel bar (5)
    Dinner: tomato & pepper pasta
Snack: hexb toast & jam (2)

I’m hoping that I get 2 hexbs as I’ve not had any meat.

That’s the football season over for us – at last, it’s been dreadful; finished 8/10. 96 days to go.

So I went next level on this for the last 7 days after my +3 gain last week, so I'm desperate for a decent loss. Upped my speed food, reduced my protein intake a little and once again focussed on where carbs might be turning into syns (that extra round of bread).

I would like to lose the 3lbs I gained last week, any more is a bonus, otherwise I'll be really wondering what's going wrong. I rarely diverge from plan, no chocolate, crisps, any of that, so I've simply been adjusting the quantity of free foods based on whether they're P and S (it's a calorie counting diet, don't forget that), oh and reducing those Hex B's to only the measured amounts.

My next milestone is to get under 14 stone, which will leave me just over 1 stone away from target. I'm close. Home straight.

    Fingers crossed.

Green Tiger - that's a Green day so you can have another HEA and HEB!

Hope the TD gets sorted out soon. By the sounds of it you might be better off getting a new one!

    Today's plan:

B - stuffed portobello mushroom; bacon
    L - tuna mayo salad sandwich (HEB + 1)
D - shepherds pie using a mince, soya mince & veg base from freezer so not much cooking today!

    HEA - skimmed milk
    HEB - WM bread
    Syns - LTL mayo 1

So what are Green Days? I only know SP, but I've seen this idea of Green and Red Days is it? Never understood it.
