Oops. When is the bet? Can it be mended?

I remember I accidentally bet on Betfair instead of laying once - panic! But I just layed the same bet twice and it all cancelled out, so as long as you catch it soon enough you can usually fix it. You've got off to a great start -keep going!

Thanks El, thanks Pandapaws - no, can't fix it now, it was on a game that was played yesterday. I'm not actually upset at all, surprisingly for me, cos I'm already in profit more than that, so it hasn't literally cost me anything, but lessened my profit. But its shown me how careful you need to be. To go through it fully and completely after you think you've finished. Its my own fault, I had the teensiest little bit of a rush on cos I was thinking of starting to get ready to go see my sister.

Fab afternoon with her - went a bit of a walk in the countryside, cuppa tea, then into Crawley, she knows the shops there like the back of her hand, got a beautiful, beautiful fitted blouse in Next for only £8, and a bog standard long sleeved mini-fleece in Marks for £5 (men's dept). And travel there was incredibly cheap.

I'll remember the m.b. lesson, tho, thats for sure.

  • Hi KC - hope all's going well? I'm just catching up as I've been 'away' for a bit. Good work starting the m.b-ing! I have no excuses now...

Hi GTD - yep, I'm doing well, thanks - I noticed you weren't there, so to speak! Nearly messed up on the bingo as well - won on the bingo, and won quite a lot on the roulette thing, & have emailed them about it - they emailed back about the usual thing thats advised on here, about depositing and withdrawing.... I'd already deposited £10, hadn't occurred to me that I could deposit again and then withdraw. Thick, I am....

anyway, all is well in the Karmacat household, I'm just printing out some freebie tickets for The France Show next weekend and have printed out the mystery shopping gubbins for tomorrow. Spent an hour or so stripping off nasty bits of wallpaper in the kitchen too. Off now to polish my halo, otherwise known as a cup of tea.

Here we are again. Today, I'm off to do a mystery shop in the morning, have to be back in the house to start usual paid work at 1, till 6. Also have to email sportingbet for the freebie from the daft thing I did over the weekend.

I've also got adminny stuff - *must* start the French accounts this week, go over the bank statement, the little things that we have to do every month. Ooh, there's one - check I have a dfw birthday card to send to a nephew tomorrow, rather than buying one for £3.50 at the local shop where the guy behind the counter can be really horrible.

PS and I need to deposit to a bingo site and then withdraw my money!

Hmm.. accounts...must do my tax return, thanks for the reminder! I will put it in my diary to be my big job for next weekend!

I remember making similar mistakes on matched betting, so I have the rule, never do it when tired, drunk, or in a rush!!

Hypno! Haven't you done it yet? There are fines, you know... I don't want you being fined!

I've read people saying that so many times, and thought, of course.... but I didn't realise how minor the "rush" could be. Its a big lesson.
