Bother! I haven't been on my own thread for days, so couldn't :hello: at piggybank68, its okay to post anyway. Hope you're getting the support you need, piggybank.

What have I been doing? Well, wandering about various threads trying to understand what I did with the m.b. last weekend. Was tempted by the darkside (i.e. mugpunting) and was reclaimed by the light (i.e. matched betting).

Still not done French accounts. Still not done the bonus money reclaim. Ye gods I haven't even renewed my house and contents insurance (not quite up yet).

I *did* do lots and lots of working out where my money was, and where it needed to go, which I really needed to gear up on after Christmas, and that took ages. And I've just had a Hillary's blind appointment via greasypalm, I think - he was really good, there are four windows that are right for blinds, and he was able to tell me about lots of issues I hadn't even thought of. V helpful, in spite of the fact that I only did it at this moment in time for the cashback.

Hiya! Yes, I'm well, thanks, tho got snuffles from warm/cold/wet weather, no lurgies tho! Just used the free bet that resulted from my daftness over the weekend - following humongous consultations, I've matched it. Still dreaming of equally humongous profits! Just about to unhook from the internet and watch freebie trial DVD - Miss Potter, Renee Zellweger and Ewan McGregor. You've prob got an early start tomorrow - hope its still going well.

Sorry you're feeling blue ... I get the weather-related joke! You've got determination not to let it beat you on your side, anyway! Hope you're feeling better today. And I'm especially glad you posted again cos I wanted to thank you for the friendly kick - I *did* do some more on the accounts, got a file and transparent pockets out, really started to get the papers together so I could wizz through them - once you do all the preparatory stuff, it doesn't take long, espesh cos there's so few actual expenses (seeing as wot I don't live there and all)... off to work in London now, so not really any more to be done, but I hope you have a good day today.

Now see, this is where I can sometimes come unstuck, as with m.b.ing above. Being rushed. My buildings and contents insurance expires tomorrow - and I'm out all day today, and all day tomorrow, and I hadn't done anything about it other than collect all the leaflets that have come my way - certainly hadn't looked at them, or done any comparison quotes online. So I've done it just now, in about eight minutes...

Result: present insurer, who I only moved to last year, was increasing it by about £12. I've got a much more comprehensive (i.e not having to list everything) buildings and contents cover from morethan, for the same price as I paid last year, plus £65 back from quidco. Result, but not quite fully :money: :money: :money: Martin woud be very wary! Its better than nothing tho!

Right, I'm off in half an hour, so I'm going.

Glad that you haven't given up on the MB after the mishap!!! I STILL haven't done anything about it, really need a hard kick up the backside. Or really need to give DH a really hard kick up the backside as I have delegated it to him! I've also been going something at free bingo, which has netted about £250 so can't grumble too much.

Ta for the reminder about Hillary's blinds - that'll be something I can do again once we move house! In fact, I suppose I can do absolutely everything again once I've got my nice fresh new address! How exciting!
