Thanks Bob, thanks Dragon. I *am* tired, and in an hour or so I've got 3.5 hours of difficult sessions coming up, but I'm calmer than I was. My meeting with my work partner had his jaw dropping at the *list* of stuff thats gone wrong over the last few days, which was slightly gratifying
and it was nice to just talk to him, and about his stuff too. We've known each other and worked together for almost 25 years now, there's nothing we can't tell each other. It is a sort of a marriage, tho we keep that quiet now!
Anyway, betdaq have accepted E109.50, me retaining E10 for me, and E0.50 for the moneybookers fee, so I'll send it off before my sessions. Then there are two phone calls I need to make. I should have sent an invoice payment out, but thats not going to happen.
Ah well, not much longer to go - I'm finishing at 6.30, and though I might walk round the block to dissipate some tension, nothing else is going to happen except crashing in front of the tv!2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Nothing wrong with any of that and you need to be centred for you clients. Hope it all works for you this afternoon and that you don't take on board too much of their woes..if that makes sense, because i would be crying along with them.Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

:hello: Hiya! Nah, I'm fine thanks. doing this work for so long, its natural to me, it honestly is .... though [STRIKE] ooh, lots deleted here, agony! [/STRIKE] - and that was me this afternoon and early evening!2023: the year I get to buy a car0

I feel so *light* today! Like I don't have anything to do! Its not true, of course, but it *feels* true:
- phone English accountant, have they put my accounts in thank you very much? have phoned, they'll get back to me. Huh, they didn't have phoned again. Message was left for me by an assistant - subtext of, how dare you check up on me, I'm sure....
- email French accountant, I'm collecting the figures, don't strike me off your books.done
- email re mystery shop tomorrow in a local town. done - shop not allocated to me anyway!
- email where I rent the rooms from in London, they left me a really sweet phone message (there was a little catastrophe on Friday night with water I haven't even mentioned on here) because I informed them about what had happened.done.
- two clients need (phone) contact. done one. done both.
- send out cheque to French management company - that'll be this afternoon, when I have time to get to the post office. done - met a friend in the street and had a little chat, and bought a cheapo thingy for dinner - christened the microwave, yay!
- don't have anything scheduled for the weekend, must try to do something with that so I'm not hanging there.
- try to start tidying up. done a tiny bit.
- give the little redcurrants a shufti at the open air - they're still in their nighttime position in the lee of the porch. done, they're still looking happy.
- sessions: I have 4 hours today, good for the bank balance, but I need to make sure I eat properly today, especially after the traumas of the last few days. done two hours. done.

Hope the sessions don't cause you any stress.
Is it the place which you rent for work that is leaking in? I was a bit confused when i read before..but then again i am easily confused at times.Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

Hiya! Yeah, the sessions are fine thanks - one more to go now, not till 6pm. And yes also, its the rooms I rent for work that are leaking - I let them know over the weekend, and got two very nice emails and a phone message thanking me. We're subletters, so the top guy, the guy who owns the place, is going to pay some money out. There was another leak a few weeks ago that I also had to deal with (ha! forgot to pay my rent cheque, it took so much time) - the place has had no maintenance for years. I found a cockroach in the sink before Christmas! When we drink from cups there, we scald them with boiling water first ....
Anyway, yeah.... **I'm** confused! Maybe its a sign that too much is going on? I'm seriously thinking about just chucking the magazines I've listed on ebid.... I've got shelves of them, from the 1990s, science fiction stuff. A public-service friend of mine says I should offer them to local schools for the kids to use to cut pix out etc. You do guides, Bob, you have kids - what do you think? There's a primary school not far away I could check out with ...
EDIT: this is also known as "Working Smart" which was going to be the title of my New Year's Diary on here ..... hmmmm.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Phew you have been busy. Thise mags are always worth offering if the school doesnt want them or all of them how about brownies and guides or I guess cubs and scouts.:j0

Thanks KP - I'll try a local voluntary groups forum then - there's plenty to go round, even if they take a magazine storage box each
all bought in the days when I was rich, and before computers .... I think I must have bought every magazine on offer, *such* a waste of money. Anyway, that would massively declutter my house.
I'm seriously thinking of getting a pest controller in to lay poison for those mega-spiders. In spite of 3 electronic spider repellent thingies, the babies in the sort of basement place keep coming out - and a toddler came out today, quite a lot bigger than the babies. In a few months, I'm going to have the same monsters as last year, the nest is still going :eek::eek:
So today, whats to do:
- got an appointment at 11, that ups the money for this week.
- got a mystery shop to do in a local town; its near enough so that I can get a top wack bus ticket, and zoom about afterwards doing things in my own town - I'd *like* to buy some blinds today, with Christmas money. I don't have any privacy in my kitchen, there's no window covering, and it really bugs me.
- received payment from both betfair and partybets today, hurray, so pay £58.85 to my overpayment account :T:T:T Still a bit behind on the £1000 in 100 days, as totesport money hasn't turned up yet, worryingly.
- butlins down for maintenance.
- do some shopping! I don't have much fresh food in the house.
- I'll try to make a note of any reviews I could do for places I could do on qype. And do them - the challenge runs out at the end of the weekend.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Ha! Just realised that my mortgage overpayment pot, which reached the regular target of £500 earlier this week, now has another £100 in it towards the next £500! Thats three squares of £25 each coloured in today.2023: the year I get to buy a car0

oh the therapy of colouring squares :rotfl: :rotfl: how I love it.
Do you use crayons or is yours on the computer?0
