  • Hi Karma

Well done on the dfw totals they really are mounting up.

I keep wondering, so I thought I'd ask, what does 'Om.' stand for in your signature? I so hope its not something so obvious that I am about to look very stupid :o:D

Not at all! Its a sacred word in Buddhism, also the Hindu and Jain religions - I'm kind of Buddhist (Karmacat, dontcha know :) ). It can be chanted, and when its done in a group its absolutely amazing, very powerful. I don't *think* it has any immediate translation, it has many contexts and levels of meaning. Its an acknowledgement of the divine, is the best way to put it...... I think :o

  • Oh gosh right now I understand, I just assumed it was money related so wasn't thinking outside the box. Thanks for that Karma x

Aw, sweetie, no problem - its there all the time, but when I see it, really see it, it reminds me that money isn't all there is. I don't want to make a big show of it, so its tiny, but its important that its there, that life isn't just about money....

The other thing about life not just being about money is my garden: for the last few hours I've been hopping in and out of the house at the back of the porch: I bought some reducurrant stems yesterday at poundland, and I've been soaking the roots, finding plantpots, putting a few drainage bits in the pots, soil in the pots, putting the plants in properly and filling them, and letting them soak for an hour or so again. Then just now, I've drained them again, and left them outside. Its still raining, and I'll check but I don't think there's going to be a frost tonight, but even if there is I can bring the munchkins into the porch really easily.

Still money stuff going on: played bingo at my scratchcard sites (and lost, lol), paid my tax bill, withdrew everything from betfair and my most recent bookie - £38.33 to add to the pot when it gets here, which is great - joined paddypowertrader though haven't been confirmed yet, of course, and haven't yet deposited - money from betdaq isn't in my moneybookers account yet, tho I withdrew it on Thursday, grr.

Trying to keep all the balls in the air!

  • That is what life is about really.Keep juggling on day all those juggling acts will pay off as everything slots into place one by one.

Thanks Bob! So true, things will slot into place, I feel sure. I have to be a bit careful of myself today - yesterday evening was *not* restful, I had some very problematic phone calls, tho luckily the awful work email wasn't part of the problems, that resolved really well.

So today, whats the recipe. Done the scratchies, got the trading on (didn't believe my own system, blah blah, over to my blog about that). Today I will:
    - yep, phone the French bank. In French. I've noticed there's a number on the statements, I've written out the words, hey ho, off we (might) go.
    - pay a couple of bills that still need to be paid by post.
    - look after the little redcurrants.
    - do a bit of digging on the veg plot, and some cutting back of brambles/ivy at the top.
    - I might have some paid work early afternoon, but that was one of the problematic things yesterday evening, but the rest of my (paid) work is in the evening.

Hope everyone has a good day.

Morning Karma, good luck with the phone call - I'm sure you'll be fine!

I've got a little redcurrant bush.. or a blackcurrant... I bought one of each and one is doing very well, and the other one is almost dead - but I don't know which is which! :o

    Have a good day!

Hi Squirrel! Did you have a nice weekend away?

LOL at not knowing which is which, that sounds like me! I've just taken them out of the shelter of the back of the porch, and put them in the sun, as its not bad down here. One of the pots isn't *quite* big enough, I might have to pile a bit more soil up, but it will do for now. Just had a tidying fling, another difficult phone call - is something going on astrologically? I only ever half believe in astrology at best, I'm more of an astronomer really, but *something* is up.

To be honest the weekend was a bit weird.. a bit 'distant' and, well, nothing much to say, and I was glad to get home. Not great, but I'm being philosophical about it. Not really sure where things go from here.

Pass on the astrology! You have sun though.. I want sun!! :D

Shame about the weekend.... a confused emoticon here, I think.... the sun has just run away again, but at least its cloudy, not heavy overcast, they can certainly stay where they are. I'd like some proper sun too!
