I wonder if you actually wrote down the points you'd trade at and kept them by you-sort of minimum acceptable level stuff and until you are into the swing of it more and are better prepared to use intuition.....or whatever-it's all Greek to me -trade at that point .......if that might work for you ?

Thanks Duchy :o thats what I do... its called virtual trading, or paper trading ... you're on the right track. So am I :o:o:o but I fritter my time away (porridge, other websites, blah blah). Thats why the next Karmacat diary is going to be called "Working Smart", amongst other reasons.

Part of my embarrassment these days is that people on here are so supportive, and I keep on doing so little of the actual trading ....

Okay, what have I done today from my lists?
    - £200 of the WR with partybets.
    - £6.50 of reviews for qype - so, I'm doing it....
    - scratches (35p total)
    - opened 3 days of post and disposed of all the carp.
    - contacted friend re party tonight.
    - entered a Loose Women comp on itv I saw while channelhopping.
    - checked out local stuff in the next few months to get out more.
    - wrote out instructions from the Knitters Thread on how to fiddle about with the front opening of little Samuel's top (those people are geniuses).

Okay, thats good. And now, I'm officially off duty - off up to London, and hopefully those storms won't hit too badly till I'm on my way home. Hope everyone has a good evening.

Morning .... I had a great time at the party on Saturday, so did not very much at all on Sunday, tho I did still manage half an hour in the garden. I got right to the back, almost, and started clipping away at blackberry suckers. What I found was fairly heartening actually - the work I did a couple of years ago has paid off, underneath the mound of dead annuals of last year, there's bare ground, thank heavens, behind some big lavender bushes. So I can just turn that over and put some bark chippings on it.

    Today, the plan is:
    - trading.
    - three tasks in relation to the French accounts.
    - phone the English accountant.
    - do scratches! Haven't done them yet, unusually.
    - gardening if I can, even if its just chopping up stuff to fit in the bin.

  • Morning Karmacat,

Sounds like a good plan you have.

Good for you on tackling three tasks for the French accounts, you'll soon be rid of them :)

    Catch you later.

Have a good day karma. Am with you in spirit on the accounts - I still haven't done mine - though I am slowly gathering the evidence. Why oh why can't I keep track of things as I go along??

:o Thanks guys... have I done all the work? I have not :o:o I *did* check my French statement - the money isn't in! And like I said before, they shoot you in France  so I had to ring them to find out what the company name is of the people who actually pay the money in, cos I can't tell :o googled them, came up with a firm I have paperwork for, *and* a name, and rang them. They say they sent it last week, should be there this afternoon or tomorrow. I spoke to an assistant, and I'm quite proud that when she didn't understand what I said, I manged to go into French and say if there's a problem, I need to send money from England **today**, not tomorrow. Nope, pas de probleme, so they say. We'll see.

After that, all I'm fit for is the garden, for 10 mins or so.:money:

  • Good for you being able to tackle it all head on. Both the garden and the French accounts..

Is it quite mild there then? We just seem to have gotten slightly above freezing, but snow is nice.
