I like MSE too much and enjoy the odd mooch. It keeps me focussed but a bit occupied as well. Glad you got your accounts sorted.Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

Well, all of that didn't go as planned. I was freezing last night, couldn't get warm all evening tho I had a blankie over my feet and the central heating and the gas fire on. Not very mse, but not very nice either. I've ended up feeling really down. Can't be bothered to do anything, and I've made mistakes about which statements to scan - easily rectified, and I don't need to bother about the missing statements now for the *English* accountant anyway, but I need to bother about them for the French one.
And Ronon Dex died last night in the final episode of Stargate Atlantis. Tho he came back to life about 5 minutes later, but still .... thats the real reason my life sucks, of course, that Ronon Dex died. Nothing to do with statements and debt and not enough income, no sirree.... or low blood sugar because I haven't eaten any breakfast yet ....
Okay, rant over. I'll get some breakfast. I'll even do some scanning before I start work at 10am.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
I feel like that too KC and i was gutted last night in that final episode...I thought the final scene had a touch of Startrek about it. Oh well..will have to buy loads of episodes to cheer myself up and watch re runs of when they found Atlantis on Stargate..they were good.
Have a bit of a temp today so no heating on for me and house to myself which is nice.Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

Hi Bob - I was thinking of you, yes .... and as for watching the re-runs, they're rerunning right now from Season 1, and I'm DVD-ing them and keeping them
... I have visions of me in my camper van/winnebago living in a country where I don't speak the language well enough to watch tv, and don't want to pay for tv via satellite - my DVDs will serve me well! Or here, if I can't get to the trading and I have to stop my sky subscription
aargh... working again in about 10 mins .... I've checked on some matched bets, but nothing matches. After I finish work, I'm going to have a *stiff* cup of coffee. And get over myself. Ranting *still* not over, apologies for the interruption to our usual service ....
EDIT forgot to sympathise with the temp, cos I'm off to your thread to sympathise there ....2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Right, stiff cup of coffee in hand. Emails are sent to the English accountant, and I'm going to just sort the last bits of the English bankings, and then start on the French stuff - I want that sorted before I do anything else. And I'm also going to do 15 minutes in the garden before it gets dark. Coffee first tho.2023: the year I get to buy a car0

 Realised why I felt so bad yesterday - I have to do the French stuff  because I struggle with the language, and because its caused so many problems financially, I really hate dealing with it.
Well, I have to, thats all there is to it. So thats the first on the list.
I have to do online banking and scratches.
And I think I've got the next £500 together to pay off the mortgage, which is great :j
Otherwise, its catching up with stuff.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Glad you hear you're feeling a little bit better this morning KC.
You're on the last leg now -get the French stuff properly gone and you can forget about it (for another year)
I have a form phobia (goes back years when I had a very scary accident and got flashbacks when filling out the insurance forms-insurance claim never got done & I go green filling out forms to this day-how daft is that) and even the prospect of a nice refund isn't helping-need to get tough with myself.......but need another coffee and print out today's MS stuff first. (I must be the only person who is never tempted to take forms with me when MS-ing-I prefer the blinking things as far away from me as possible !!!I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole
MSE Florida wedding .....no problem0 -
Hi Karmacat,
Well done on the overpayment on the mortgage, that's fantastic.
I don't envy you with the accounts, my French isn't up to scratch and neither is my maths. As Duchy says you're on the last leg now so keep going and then you can relax for another year.

Thanks folks - it really is horrible! Duchy, sorry to hear that, thats a real aversion, awful.
I still haven't done anything (!!!) but just got my qype goodies :j A ninja, haribo sweeties, a long sleeved t shirt, and the mini ipod shuffle! I must be the only would-be techie on the planet who doesn't actually know how to use an ipodI'll post on the techie forum soon. I'm just off to work now, but wanted to post and keep going

Karma good luck with the French stuff I hope you're managing to get it out of the way then you can get on with enjoying your week.
Yay to the Qype stuff, really jealous but I was too lazy to do it even though I knew about it
The ipod might be really good for you when you are on your train journeys to London? You can down load books as well as music so that might be another option.0
