Morning all .... what a morning. Very cold still, and even white than it was yesterday. Hopefully its all gone by the time I have to leave the house.

Not quite sure what to do dfw wise this morning, I just don't want to do the remaining 4 comics on ebid. I have some ipoints clickthroughs to do.... I could look at a m.b. for the weekend. Thats more profitable, I'll do that first. I *am* taking my knitting to London - if its not freezing, I'll do it on the train!

  • I forgot to ask if you enjoyed the penultimate Atlantis episode? I really enjoyed it, but am sad it is all coming to an end.Why if something works? Bah!

Sad but i have Holly envy now, it is one thing i keep meaning to buy, but always change my mind..maybe the next garden.

Oh! I do, then, deffo male and female - as far as hollies are concerned, I have one big mega-tree, about 20' tall, another about 6' tall, two six inch seedlings in the back garden, and now this one in the front. Can't *stop* them, isn't that crazy?

Does the old bucket of cold water trick not work . You'd think the prickles would get in the way :rotfl:

Oh I loved it! But I was sad to see the state that John was left in .... I've already read a fanfic piece where he's rescued and Rodney takes him to their Atlantis to become part of an SG team! Sounds like you enjoyed it too, Bob. I don't know *why* they're ending it, I thought viewing figures had been holding up. Mind you, SG1 figures were holding up too. Its probably something really mad, like the exchange rate between the US and Canada. And the third movie, which is going to be the original team, I hear.

Oh it is sad! Sorry! Some of the little branches I cut have berries - I'm going to plant them in pots, see if I get potted ones - one for my sister, one for you?

Hi gallygirl! My garden is up a steep hill - I can't actually *see* the piece of grass from the house, I'm afraid, so no chance of the bucket of cold water. And the pricklies.... I've put them over the piece of ground that will be the veg plot *in case* they start doing it there as I dig it over. I'd rather protect that than the bits they're actually poo-ing on. For those bits, what I'm going to do is spend an evening grinding those peppercorns I bought recently, then I think the recommendations are:
    - dig up and dispose of poo
    - wash away urine
    - sprinkle liberally with discourager - freshly ground pepper, in my case!
    - Bob puts a plantpot over the offending bit. With a stone on it to keep it down? So something like that. Since tomorrow is forecast to be so much warmer, I might do that tomorrow.

If you have any other suggestions, I would seriously *love* to hear them. For instance, the poo is starting to reappear in the same places. Will these efforts just make it move on to another part of my garden? Do I need to put the pepper on the whole garden? I'm off now, got to get ready to go to London, but this is a subject *very* close to my heart!

Hope everyone has a good - and warm! - day.

Excellent time yesterday - tho it was fairly short, I wouldn't have wanted anything longer. Unnecessary expenditure on local buses, but its not bad. Che is a *fantastic* film - lots of subtitles, which I usually loathe and detest, but it was absolutely wonderful.

Today actually feels like the first day of the weekend, but its not, rats .... so I have now:
    - done scratches
    - posted a query on the knitters thread.
    - bagged a mystery shop in a local town that will give me a ticket into my town centre - not terribly profitable, but it pays for me to go into town, thats good.
    - my email is down, so I went onto amazon to see if I'd sold anything, and lo and behold I have! So dealing with that, to post tomorrow.
    - printing out the details for a mystery shop tomorrow. Its just by my dentist, so I know I can walk there and back (and it takes about 10 minutes longer, truly, which ups the hourly rate by a *lot*).
    - just bagged a phone mystery shop while I was doing that.

    Rest of today:
    - cook something! With vegetables!
    - nice hot bath.
    - phone my mum.
    - I was a bit restless when I got home last night, and ended up decluttering my arts and crafts space, now I've got knitting needles again. Need to finish that off.
    - list the trading events for the next week.
    - get the amazon parcel ready to post tomorrow. I want to be totally focussed on the trading till I have to get ready to go out.
