Not too bad in town. Checked out Tesco's answerphones, and there's one slightly under what I found online, but it has two phones, not one, and I can get it now, of course, without waiting. And when I bought my beloved pesto at T, I got a tillspit for £6 off a £40 spend - so I can use that.

Woolies - got a little pressie - its marked originally at £15, and I feel like one of those shoppers who's saying, "but thats a crazy price" - a little trowel/clippers/fork set, in Barbie pink. £15 is ridiculous, but £3.60 is fine.

And I don't know what possessed me, but I cleaned a set of cupboards! Feeling very smug about that, tho of course the rest of the kitchen is a disaster area *again*.

Plus I sorted what Christmas cards I'm sending to who. Thats always difficult too. And I wrote one of those letters I write, to mates I don't see very often - sneaky, I can adapt it and it still looks individual, even if its typed.

Today is London, but I have stuff I'd like to do in the house first, and some money admin things I *must* do - moving money to pay bills, blah blah, I hate that stuff, tho it *is* satisfying to see a bill paid. Off to eat brekkie first tho.

  • Hi Karmacat,

Well done on your jaunt to town.

With regard to problem cats, one thing I used to find was that if you put curry powder down it tends to deter them.

    :hello: Hello all!

:hello: Welcome Pepe! Goldfish or no :)

Welcome to my slightly off the wall diary! Cat poo and science fiction fantasy to order .....

Thanks for the tips on the cats, Tea and Pepe, those are good. The cheapest thing I could find was 400g of peppercorns in Tesco, for £1.68 (i.e. not very much per 100g). And I have a grinder; it might be a bit of a fag, but there you go, no pain no gain. I love the idea of essential oils dumped onto a tea bag - when its not so rainy, I'll deffo try that.

Bob .... no debts and a camper van. My idea of heaven. And if I were to drive around Vancouver for a little bit, well, that would be okay! He led the Christmas Parade at Vancouver last year

Not only does he have 3 kids, he has a really beautiful wife (Andromeda in Andromeda Ascendant) so I may have a problem there .... I may have to stick to Spain.

    My to-do list today:
    - mystery shop, new place, new m/shopping organisation, so I'll have to pay attention. I have to pretend to be rich!
    - buy an ansaphone.
    - couple of Xmas presents. At the moment, I'm thinking a nice lavender plant. Maybe some essential oils, slightly more portable.
    - take lightbulb jackets with me when I buy ansaphone, I have to spend a bit extra to get the discount, got to buy something useful with that!

Wrapping pressies ..... writing cards .... I've decided I probably won't do my tree this year, but I will get the lights out and stick them up. May still go the whole hog, but I'm just not sure yet.

  • Morning Karmacat,

With regards to the peppercorns, have you got an asian supermarket near you? They normally got huge bags of black peppercorns for about £1 or 2. We use lots and my mum brought some down for us that she got from the one near her and we are still using it, she came down in May.

    Good luck with your list.

I had to google *cleaning kitchen cupboards* and was shocked with what I saw........that sort of dangerous behaviour is not for me :rotfl:

:D I know! It was pretty wild! The rest of the kitchen is reassuringly filthy, don't worry!

Tea - well, I've got these corns now, I'll see how it goes. I did buy them in the ethnic section of Mr T, if that helps :o

Right, off to do ... something ... I know, unpack from last night, get ready to go out.

    Bye for now, guys! :money:
