- um, Christmas cards. And letters. You know, the ones that say "my news - won £20 on bingo" or alternatively "I am now living on Abydos/in Vancouver, the love slave of Daniel Jackson/his actor Michael Shanks" (whichever will have me, I'm not fussy - and thanks to Bob for the fantasy tip).

Done, and frightened the life out of myself - September I used 8 units of gas, October I used 18, and November I used 78!!! I think thats 5 weeks, cos of when I took the readings. And I thought I was being fairly frugal! Going to have a blitz.

Done, hurray! and have put branches from Monday's work over what's been cleared (not dug, actually, just cleared) so no new animal toilets developing. I also cut back branches and shrubs that are/are about to be overhanging.

I find the pepper stuff doesn't seem to work, but sprigs of holly has helped keep cats from the borders! We seem to have attracted a few, and i upturn plant pots (the big ones) and fill any gaps with those, then they cannot revisit the same place. I am thinking of investing in those plants which give off an odour of Dog..to see if that works. I try not to be cruel to cats( I love cats)..slugs are fair game though..

Tea - so true! Had dinner, my feet are just about warm, I have to phone my mum now, then watch Top Gear that I'm taping, *then* I'm going to do bingoport, I want that voucher code in my hot little paw.

Or put them in gaps in the fence? Don't quite get it, sorry.... and if its about the putting-them-in-the-gap thing, well, I don't have a fence at the sides to have a gap in, just shrubs and undergrowth. Oops.

I get rid of any deposit, then i upturn a pot over it..they have been trying to get in gaps where my veg had previously been growing..admittedly in amongst the shrubs...with large pots they have less room for manouevre! If that makes sense
