Thanks Bob! I think I'm teed off at myself as well for that trade yesterday - I know perfectly well that 15minute signals are more reliable than 5 minute signals, and went about things the wrong way - not annoyed with the losing trade per se, but with myself for not doing what I know I should do. Story of our lives, hey? Well mine, anyway.
Just experimenting with photos on here:

Nope, can't get them to go up onto the thread. Still got no idea how people do that. But these are the two sites for my veg patch. I think I'll be using the second. I think I may get dressed (finally!) and go out there right now for 20 minutes.
Ha ha! Just read your second post above - brill! I may write a totally surreal one, actually. Everyone knows I love science fiction, I could just do a riff on Karma Cat, the one who moves through different space time continuums in a variety of disguises to catch ... dunno, something to do with people who're mean to vegetables. And cats.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -

Nah! you should write about how KC gets together with Michael Shanks, and goes through the gate to Abidos where you are his slave womanBlackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

Well i think you also have a nice little project for next year in the garden..could i suggest where your veg patch is, squaring it off, banging copper pipe on the top..to deter slugs, using a good mulch mix..and nematode pwder mixed in water in the square to kill off existing slugs in soil..Can you tell i watch gardener's world?
With the grass, it may well be worth mowing it now and levelling if needed, using grass seed as a filler? I have wasted money in the past with turf, but that is also a quick fix if needed.Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

Morning - nice to see your garden! To get them in the thread you need to use the button that looks like mountains and put the picture link in there (right click on picture, select properties and copy the link that ends in .jpg then paste that in to the box that pops up when you press the mountain button) - does that make any sense? :rotfl:
Sorry to hear you're feeling fed up, I know what you mean about the 'Christmas letters', was talking to a friend about that the other day, and the fact that my parents' friends always send ones about how their kids are starring in plays/ doing PhDs in nuclear physics/ marrying some lovely person/ travelling the world... I prefer to remain a woman of mystery, at least that's what I tell myself... lol

Michael! :happyhear Of course, why didn't I think of that! Ooh ..... I could have fun with that. :happyhear Actually, I have a treat in store:
"the UK arm of the Sci Fi Channel has announced that The Lost Treasure of the Grand Canyon will premiere on Sunday, 21 December at 10:00pm." He stars in it:grinheart :j , with Shannen Doherty as the female lead.
The gardening.... trouble is, I have so *many* projects - veg patch, shaded sitting area, repointing the house mortar, redecorating, decluttering, amazon-ing, trading, social life, scanning stuff, getting fit. Sigh ..... copper pipe? Nematode powder? Do I *have* to kill the slugs?

Okay, I *thought* I'd tried that link, but I haven't done *that*, so I'll give it a go later today. I need more coffee right now.Sorry to hear you're feeling fed up, I know what you mean about the 'Christmas letters', was talking to a friend about that the other day, and the fact that my parents' friends always send ones about how their kids are starring in plays/ doing PhDs in nuclear physics/ marrying some lovely person/ travelling the world... Its true, isn't it! My mum and her sister are continuously competitive about their daughters (my cousin, me and my sister) which is sometimes a problem for my mum as me and my sister don't play ball. Except sometimes my sister does a killer zinger, like paying off the mortgage, that stops it all stone dead.Anyway, I hope your grumpiness lifts soon xx
Thanks squizz! I'm half playing at it, tbh, as you can probably tell, but I just feel restless thats all - getting stir crazy!
Off for coffee and the garden now, you take care, we'll speak later...2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -

No you don't have to kill slugs! But apparently there are over 200 slug eggs or was it 2000?In each metre square:o They will be nicely contained in your veg patch, so the pwder is a natural way of getting rid..and the copper pipe is supposed to deter intruders:D You can take your chances.but be warned they love lettuce and veg leaves:o
Oooh will bookmark that on scifi...sluurpBlackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

 Hiya
I had a proper sleep last night, almost 7 hours! Very nice. Its frosty here - the grass is tinged white, tho not desperately so. I still wouldn't like to be out there.
Today, I've just got a bit of paid work in the afternoon, so time to do stuff in the day. I need to:
- do a meter reading in the garage, and input it online.
- at the same time  I can get my Christmas deccies and cards.
- finish off bingo port posts for the next voucher.
- finish off jackpotcity bingo for ipoints.
- once the worst of the frost has passed, do some digging/cutting back in the garden, carefully avoiding the dog/cat/fox poo - I'm not shifting it again until I've got a ton of pepper to throw on the sites. Yuk
- rejigging things in the kitchen slightly - could do with cleaning a few shelves because of that.
- um, Christmas cards. And letters. You know, the ones that say "my news - won £20 on bingo" or alternatively "I am now living on Abydos/in Vancouver, the love slave of Daniel Jackson/his actor Michael Shanks" (whichever will have me, I'm not fussy - and thanks to Bob for the fantasy tip).
That'll do!2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Morning Karmacat,
Sounds like a reasonable plan you have for today and very achieveable.
I know what you mean about the poo, it's like that in our garden too.
The men are here to sort the guttering and I need to make a start on my list for today.
Will catch up with you later and have a good day.
Tea

:rotfl: The first post I read was Tea's.. had to go back a page to find out why you were talking about poo!
I actually wrote a few Christmas cards last night  Not reached the ones that require letters yet though
Have a good day xDebt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0
