Hurray! Just got my first sarnie shop mystery shop - I'm going to a local workshop on Sunday, so this will mean I can go do a bit of window shopping beforehand.2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Morning!
Well done on the mystery shops/ phonecalls - especially the phonecalls, I would hate doing that. Not sure on the cashback thing, maybe ask on the Up Your Income board if nobody knows on here?Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
Thanks! I do get flustered the first time I do something, but I got very flustered yesterday, with the first one that was being taped. But the m.s. people have been really nice - not only have they offered me the opportunity to do that one again, but also allocated me the same thing next week! Going to prepare all the paperwork now, well, after I've gone to your thread to see how you doing...2023: the year I get to buy a car0

All sounds good, i like the idea of 'income streams',it sounds so much nicer. Team KC is behind you on this,
One of the things we used to do was work off a script..bog standard selling technique, but it gives you something to work around and then you can improvise when you become more confident about it.
Plus very Jealous of the companies you and Hypno work for, mine only do large electrical stores and then very few at that.Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
Still lurking around with a hope of some salvation:cool:0 -
Thanks Bob! I love the sound of "Team KC" - makes me feel I'm being all patriotic in getting my debt down - actually, I suppose I am, in a funny sort of way!
Just been trying to print out some cahoot statements of mine, to give proof of interest earned (all £1.50 of it, but thats another story) and this screen has come up:
sorry, cahoot is unavailable

Cahoot was part of Halifax, wasn't it? Its now showing as being taken over by Santander.... I have shares in Santander, who now also own Alliance and Leicester, where I also have an online account. Good job *all* of it is peanuts - peanuts plus peanuts is still peanuts, so I'm safe whatever happens. It does make me think of what Martin wrote recently tho, that the safest place to keep your money is in debt repayment.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
I didn't realise Cahoot was part of Halifax, that's interesting. I have a Cahoot savings account (with nothing in it) and a loan, which I'm not sure who I'm meant to be paying back to at the moment, must see what's going on!
Loving "Team KC"! :jDebt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
Aargh! I spoke to a really nice woman on the mystery phone shop, and I didn't write her name down. I've been longing for a Snickers bar all afternoon, and now I'm *deffo* going to get one. Of such things are diaries made2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Cahoot was part of Abbey National, not of Halifax...........I think!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0

Oh! And Abbey was taken over by Santander ages ago.... well, I don't know why they've suddenly gone all wibbly.... I think I might play with google.
I never did any of the gardening I was supposed to do - took a walk around the block, then still didn't want to go inside, so I did some more cutting back of overgrown shrubs at the front. I'm starting to hop over the railing to cut back ones further away from the path - this is a *good* thing! I'm winning!2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Hypno, you're right - just been to an article on brandrepublic.com. Well done you for remembering - I should know stuff like that, I've had that account for ages!2023: the year I get to buy a car0
