Hey honey - sorry I only just read all this. I hope that you've had a good day today and aren't feeling too drained.

    Hi Sea

I'm not bad, thanks - the day was Thursday. I had a lot of work on Friday, but luckily my partner was back, so I got a lift door to door. Even better, and unusually, his wife was getting a lift back with us after coming back from seeing her brother, so I literally fell into the back seat and slept most of the way home. It really was just what I needed. Today, I've had my first coffee and most of my breakfast, starting to feel human.

Sorry to go back to this point, but I took the decision not to speak to people for that very reason on my Dads day this year. I didn't want anyone telling me how they felt, or how I should feel. It was sort of selfish of me, but hey - I needed to do MY thing, and MY thing was not to ring my sister, or my Nana but to just allow myself to wallow in my own emotion for a bit.

Sometimes doing what is right for us is difficult, but we have to do it, whatever it is. These days are not supposed to be easy - we would perhaps be a little disappointed if they were. It is a sign of how much those people meant to us - and that is a very special thing and something to embrace and be proud of.

    xx

I'm glad you *did* go back to it, hypno, don't worry. I think thats what I'll do in future - but this year, my mum had seen my brother the day before, my sister's incommunicado in France, and my auntie is of course concerned with her favourite granddaughter getting into the university of her choice. So nobody was *there* for her, but it cost me such a lot to be the one to be there for her, I don't think I can do it again.

I did wonder about posting on here, and then I thought about Weller posting Andy's letter, and thought, no, real stuff happens on here, I'm just fearful of what'll be posted, exactly as you describe. But it was fine, I was very relieved.

You're right about the disappointment if it *isn't* special, even tho I was surprised at how much I felt - he was a special man. And even if he wasn't, of course, he was my dad.

I've spent the morning trying to understand a multiples reload offer from partybets. I've got it now, but its been withdrawn from the web - still, the important thing is understanding *how* to do it, and I do now. So, no profit this week from it, but setting up to get much more profit in the coming weeks, a necessary thing. I can still join a bookie later today and do a qualifier tomorrow, there are a few fixtures taking place then. If not, I don't care - I'm off out this afternoon to see what I can buy from Tesco with my News of the World coupon!

Still got a betbasket to work through for now so have deposited funds into betfair (emptied for hols) and here we go again !
I'm with Hypno -we deal with those "days" as best we can-and even different years need different ways of dealing with them sometimes-Hugs to you KC

Sorry you've got to work today, duchy, bummer.... the partybets, I just kept going, I'm determined to use my reload offers this year, I was appalling last year. Tom Wakefield was really helpful, its the navigation around the sites thats so difficult, the principle is fine now. Thats good you've got another betbasket to work through tho - I've got the sportingbet offer to do, but that one's not urgent, so as I say, I'm giving up for now & wandering off to Tesco. And for once I *have* eaten lunch beforehand, so I won't be falling off my perch with hunger. Hope the day goes okay for you.

Got back from Tesco - ha, didn't use the NoTW coupon after all that - there really wasn't anything I wanted to spend £30 on, except possibly a microwave, and I couldn't cart one of those home on the bus! I'll do a grocery catch up later - must keep up to date with that. I did spend a tenner in Tesco, but half of that was a smoke alarm, which I *really* should have, and a lot of the other was a bottle of wine with £2 off for our six weekly get together where my contribution is the bottle of wine. V pleased, went to the library, no fines, all is well with the world. And Strumpet has a diary now.

If you've got stairs, you *should* have two.

:o I know. And I do have stairs. But one's better than none, right? Right? [KC whimpers at the blank, silent screen, then hears ZTD telling her to get her act together].

Right. Off to buy another [STRIKE]one[/STRIKE] two over the next few days - my house is oddly shaped.

And in today's news.... Hypno is talking about clearing her kitchen today, and rather than beg her to come round to mine and do my kitchen, I've decided to do my kitchen myself. And I'm going to try to do my first matched bet in euros, if I can join an exchange and a bookie in one day with a moneybookers account.

Right, done the first bit of the kitchen - done all the washing up, cleaned the hobtop kettle to put away now that I use a tiny electric kettle, got the recycling ready to put out, cleaned the sink. Going to have a cup of coffee, then clean
the surfaces and the hob, and tidy up.

Also tried to join bet24, but struggling to use the new moneybookers account. We always earn our money when we start these things!
