Done except for cooking the snacky things. And not working for another 1.5 hours, but can't have cooking smells in the house with a client, so am *forced* not to do it yet. I will try to prepare it tho
Did anybody else see Martin on the beeb at 1pm? I was just thinking they completely ignore his existence, and then up he pops! Too big to ignore, eh?2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Yes, I saw him
Well done on all you have got done today!"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -
Have read the NW thread on the loopholes board but am still a bit wary. Though £90 profit will have to try - will wait till next week when am off work.0

Hiya - Snaggles - he's *so* good, isn't he! Thanks for the congrats - I never did the snacky things but I did cook the damn carrots, and I did make some pancakes to snack on in the evening. Baby steps.....
Mizmir, I think if you did it on a share, at a quiet time of day, it should be fine. Watch the videos on the cmc site about how to buy and sell (cos that takes some effort too!) but as you say, its really worth it for £90.
Today, my usual London day, tho I'll be home a bit earlier than usual - 10 or 10.30, hurray. Trying to use the couple of hours I've got this morning but not tire myself out.... I will *not* read too many diaries.... got to read some tho2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Thanks - will give it a go on Monday! Have a good day.0

Morning all!
Well, I *did* get home early last night, and was in bed before the time I normally get home. Still really tired today - I've just realised how much walking, and how much physical work in the garden I've done in the last few days, and I've realised I can't quite push these things the way I used to
 discovering quite late that there really is a difference between mid-20s and mid-50s, and that it applies to me! B*gger!
So the motor show in London is not going to happen today, tho I might still pop into the local town to have a potter. I think its a quiet day today otherwise - tidying, yes, but no strenuous physical work. Surveys might be in order? :rotfl:2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Have a good day, and hope you get through lots of surveys - we are giving up on them because after 20 mins of answering questions it says "thanks you are not of the correct profile" or whatever.......:mad:Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. Thats the problem, isn't it? I belong to one focus group thing that sends lists of focus groups, and they're really well paid (£50 or so). I even qualify for a few, but it turns out they're oversubscribed. However, I *do* get what looks like a personal email back. hi ho.
Surveys - I'll stick to lightspeed, you gov, and maybe tns.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Mornin Karma
I just read about you not being able to overpay the NR loan, thats pants! I know Taxi has said she also can't overpay on a couple of her loans too so she is going to put the money in her offset instead or something like that so at least interest saved/earned there.
I hope you manage to relax today and re-energise after all your hard work.

Its rotten, isn't it? Because I kept at it, I found out there *is* a way to overpay - its that whole thing about rolling over the loan to a new, lower level, but I'm absolutely sure that most of the call centre staff don't understand it. I'd never, ever take out a loan again without checking about overpaying facilities. I'm in two minds about overpaying even now.
Pros:
- less interest.
- fewer overheads.
Cons:
- that money is unavailable to me if I need it.
OTOH, its all money that I've earned from dfw stuff on here, so that evens it out. I think I have to go for the overpayments, but when I make them, I'm going to send *such* a "middle class snotty" letter, as I call them, they won't know whats hit them. Something about take this repayment under these terms listed by your supervisor in our telephone call on the morning of 1st August, and confirm in writing, and if you cash my cheque under any other conditions, I'll take you to the small claims court - and send it by recorded delivery. I'm quite peeved, as you can probably tell!2023: the year I get to buy a car0
