Tested the micro, made apple and blackberry crumble and a ring of scone, think the scone needs a slightly lower temp, its a smaller oven than my other one, so a reduction of about 10 degrees I think...............did jacket spuds in 13 minutes with crispy skin, lovely!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have ben battling with my blog over the past few days, I did a clean on the computer and it must have knocked the cookies, so after 3 days of frustration I am back.................
We had a quick trip to the library and I nipped into Tesco for some Dove wholemeal flour, picked up , 1 turkey breast roast, 4 turkey breast fillets,1 quiche and 8 pork sausages....enough for at least 8 suppers for less than £6.00.........the Dove flour was 74p. I did go to Adsa yesterday but they didn't have any, it was 60p in there. If Tesco have some more on Wednesday I will get some more its dated March 2008 so plenty of time to use it up.
We had cold pork, salad and jacket spuds apple and blackberry crumble to follow...........
Off to watch SCD.................and finish my large glass of red wine...cheers..Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0 -

Hi all
am back from sunny florida, the heat was unbearable at times, esp when we went to nasa.
main point is this was the first time we have been abroad, so first time we did a package and based on this holiday will never do one again!!
there was no inflight entertainment ie seatback tv's working on way there
lo was bored, acted up the whole way there, he smashed a china cup on the floor and then stood on it, blood everyone, just a small cut though, so this set the way for the flight home, he screamed a whole 7 hours only sleeping at the end! then we were stuck in the plane for 30 mins when we landed due to probs getting the walkway bit attached to the plane, pilot blamed glasgow for it when it was really him who didnt go in close enough to it, the air hostess was really s*** towards me and lo as people were trying to sleep during the flight.
The spa in the pool didnt work, the villa front door wouldnt lock properly, the rep was told, she did nothing, lots of other people complained about her not helping, some mornings she didnt even turn up at the welcome centre so this ended in her getting sacked and to top it off on our last day we had a minor collision with a pick up truck, dh's fault and the entire wing mirror was torn off and the side of the car was stratched!!!
but apart from that it was the best hols we have ever had, loved the parks, shopping etc and going to start planning for 2009:D woohoo!
right am now on os mode from tomorrow, i dread to think how much weight i have put on:rotfl:

Happy Birthday to our birthday girls :bdaycake: :bdaycake:
Went to see elderly relatives today (91 and 85) and enjoyed catching up with all the news - had fish and chips and still feel quite full.
Washingmachine has just "gone funny" again - spinner will not spin and it will not drain so DH is having a look at it.
Really do not want to buy anything new till we move house or have sold ours but with six of us really need a WM!
DDs had their 22nd birthday yesterday and sister (18) came back from university for the weekend!:j
DH has just told me he has wrestled a hairgrip from the WM so it might work now."This site is addictive!"

Evening All!
Welcome back Kyle!
We've been to Florida twice and we're going back in 2009. Both times we booked everything separately ourselves, flights, car hire, villa etc. If you can go in term-time you can get some really cheap flights, unfortunately we can't as we're both teachers. The DIBB website is great for researching future trips to Florida but you'll end up spending ages on it!
Well I actually had a mini lie-in this morning as DH took DD1 to orchestra. We then spent the afternoon over at MIL's and we ate my hm leek and potato soup and bread with nachos (a strange combination). She made a lovely carrot cake so we're all too full to eat any tea, so I think I'll send DH to the chippy and we'll all have chip butties while watching the rugby!
Church and sunday school in the morning and then I'm taking DD1 into town for an all-day breakfast some 'retail therapy', only bargain shops like Primark though. :rotfl:
Have a good evening!0
