Hi everyone,
Thought I'd have a little surf before the family wakes as it's so nice and peaceful this early in the morning. Only the cat awake with me and she's no trouble except chasing the cursor on the screen.
Planning a lovely relaxing weekend. DH bought a new car yesterday which is just in the nick of time, so I can stop worrying about how he'll get to work now. We were owed some money from last year and we finally got paid! The relief is incredible! We pick the car up on Monday, after DS2 has been for his hospital appointment, so it's very exciting.
Hope everyones weekends are wonderful especially Hardup Hester's who seems to really deserve to enjoy the break. Nothing worse than having your space invaded even if it is necessary for financial reasons. Hope you have a lovely relax while your lodgers away.AUGUST GROCERY CHALLENGE £58.95/ £250

Good Morning All! Hurray! half Term is finally here!
Today will be cleaning, washing, shopping, then a trip to see friends for lunch in Rugby. Back here for an evening function at Church, so a busy, busy day.
Tomorrow after church plan to head down to Dorset until Tuesday evening to see Mum. Later in the week need to make a Christmas cake, do some pressie shopping, finish quilt and advent calendar sewing for DGD...and do the bootful of school work I've brought home!
Hope all those celebrating have a good time. Good luck with the Rugby later too -although my Welsh blood means I can't get too excited about England!!!!
Love and ((((HUGS)))) to anyone who needs a bit of TLC just now.Resolution:

Good morning everyone, The good and bad news: it's my birthday today and I have had a heavy head cold all week !!!
The better news is I am on holiday from work next week :j:j:j so should be able to join you every morning.
Thirty years ago today I got married, thought it very romantic at the time (getting married on my birthday) but we divorced 16 years ago. So every birthday is a bit nostalgic for what might have been !!!
This morning I will do a bit of housework and try every imaginable cold remedy to perk me up.
This afternoon I am going shopping with my sister and mum to a nearby outlet village, really looking forward to that.
Later my 2 boys and their partners are coming for dinner and to watch a dvd. My favourite kind of day.
For dinner I am having all my favourite foods (HM of course).
Pate, oatcakes, plum sauce and salad.
Beef olives (cooked in SC all day), roast potatoes, carrots and swede mash.
Banoffi pie with lots of fresh cream.
To h*ll with the calories its my special day.
Penelope Penguin, Happy birthday to you to - are you a typical Libran? i definately am.
Have a good day everyone.Debt free - Mortgage free - Work free ( in that order)

Happy birthday to Pen Pen and to Plumduff. Hope you both have a lovely day.
Twink - I too was told that Lidl's fruit and veg don't keep very well. However, that is where DH buys most of our veg and all the fruit and we have never had a problem. He is always careful when he chooses the stuff to make sure it is fresh.
Welcome home today to Kyle - no doubt you will share your adventures with us.
Hardup H - don't know how you put up with that lodger. At least you will have a bit of space this weekend.
Plan for today is to start the huge back garden clear up. I am still glancing out of the window admiring what I did out the front yesterday (sad or what!!!!)
Hope you all have a great weekend.

. Why do men feel they are making themselves useful by tidying the place up, when really, all they need to do is the stuff you've been asking them to do for weeks e.g. putting the curtain pole up or moving that box you keep on tripping over into the loft.
Yes, thats right - OH took it upon himself to tidy the living room last night and has put everything in the wrong place and thrown away all the extremely important bits of paper. Sigh.
Edit: I posted without reading the thread first, so
Hippo birdie to PenPen and plumduff
Hope you ha a fantastic holiday kyle
And hugs/congrats to anyone who needs themWe must all suffer one of two things: the pain of discipline or the pain of regret and disappointment0 -
