  • Happy birthday to PenPen and PlumDuff, and hugs for all those who need one:grouphug:

Well, I've been busy today - parents due back on Monday, so massive clean up operation commenced this weekend. (We've not been living in a pit, but it's been a wipe over etc). Stardrops, bleach and vinegar being my weapons of choice. The house is looking fab now though, even if my hands feel like they're cracking

Chicken Fajitas tonight for me and sis - not sure what I'll be doing tomorrow yet...slow cooked something no doubt :D Going to start baking a cake that I've seen in my lovely Green&Blacks cookbook..it's like a cooked chocolate moouse sponge, topped with chocolate moouse. Yum yum :D

Donna - dead washing on the line Oh dear!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hope you can revive it!

Aussie - just backtracked and looked at your photograph. What a truly lovely picture.

Mioliere - so sorry about latest re MIL. Thoughts with you and your OH just now.

Well, have decided to be sensible (DH's comment is - well that makes a change) and have packed in gardening for today. I have done just over 4 hours and the back garden is really far worse than the front was yesterday. Because it doesn't get much sun it is quite damp in places and we have moss and a horrid lichen type growth in the soil. However, I have turned over about three quarters and dispatched lots of weeds. Unfortunately last quarter is, I think, the worst. However, forecast tomorrow is good again so hope to get the worst bit finished with. Our brown garden bin full and I am well on the way to filling my neighbours! It is collection day on Monday so at least it won't hang around too long.

Just about to put my feet up in the study as DH sport watching. Wouldn't be surprised if I have a wee nod before G&T time tonight.

    GB xxxx
  • Well done you Aimee, I bought a wireless router as the lodger was getting a laptop, only then she changed her mind!! Still when sh'e moved out I can offer the spare room with wireless access.
