Expecting lots of photos on Facebook Kyle

Off to the shops in a minute. The cupboards are bare so to speak. We also need some extra fleece blankets for the sofa and to go underneath dd sheets. It is so cold in her room last night.

Tonight we are off out for a meal with SIL and her hubby my dads suppose to be baby sitting but he hasnt responded to my txt or answer phone message so I hope hes remembered.

    Have a good day everyone

  • Morning everyone

I am more of a lurker than a poster and have beens lowly sliding back into my old ways, using processed foods more than home cooked but i am starting to regret giving it up and am back again to try and get into the swing of os again.

This morning so far i have a wash on and the washing hanging up, kids have been fed and the dog walked.
This afternoon i am trying to get together ideas for dd's birthday cake ( my first ever attempt), which i will be backing on Tuesday and if it all goes wrong i'll nip to tesco and buy one..lol
I would like to be able to admire a man’s opinions as I would his dog - without being expected to take it home with me."

Happy Birthday PenPen and Plumduff. :bdaycake: :bdaycake:   _party_ _party_ :D

Happy Anniversary Churchmouse!!! Have a lovely weekend.

    Welcome home Kyle. :j

Nice to see you back Tiredmum.....Hope things get better soon. x

Pooky......Welld done on getting the house. :T

Well Done VickyA on doing well in your observation. :T

    Enjoy your shopping Shez. ;)

Not much to report here. Kids have been away for a few days at their grandparents to allow me to go to work with OH (oh joy) So the paperwork is done at the expense of the housework. The girls will be back after lunch so it hardly seems worth cleaning. :o

I really need to sort the garden though and that will take most of the day. Soup and sarnies for tea (I think)

Went to see a house yesterday and fell in love with it. It's an old stone cottage with 2 acres of garden including a huuuuge greenhouse, a workshop for OH and a 30foot Chicken run. All on the shore with mooring for a boat. The asking price is bang on our budget but houses here are going to sealed bids and usually go for 30% over the asking price so that makes it impossible. It went on the market on Thursday and has had 6 viewings already.

    Que Sera eh?

Morning all................. again(((((((((((((((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))) if you need one.

Happy birthday to birthday people.........sorry I cannot remember who you are, hope you have lots of pressies and a great day. Moiliere I hope the news of your MIL is better tomorrow.

I went back to bed around 3.30 and was still awake at 5am, must have dropped off then only to be very rudly awakened by the b****y door buzzer going, my moicrowave at 7.24am!!!!!!!!!!!!!!GGGGGGGGGGGGRRRRRRRRRRR.....I was pleased to get it, but before 8am???????????????????

I have unpacked it and done the pre-run, I had a similar one for 12 years, its a Panasonic, would not really buy any other sort.........so the operation is fairly simple, OH will be getting jacket spuds for his supper and I can pre set the oven to cook a joint, brill, I have really missed that.sad ins't it. Have ot got much work surface left in the kitchen, but I'll cope somehow.........

Its a bright cold morning, the heat has kicked in, OH has been for his jab. Moiliere, the last time I had a flu jab I ended up a patient in my own hospital with pneumonia, apparently, unless its changed, the meduim they put the virus in is albumen (egg white) I am allergic to raw egg white.........so I discovered.............so no flu jab for me unless its changed!!!!!

I may well bake a tray of scone to try the oven out.........then try a sponge sandwich in a deep tin, see how that goes............(coffee for OH)

Right I am off, need to go and collect the steps I left at my friends, she still has not had her roof done, just hope there is no more heavy rain.........

    See y'all later.

Good morning all - another cold but beautiful one here in Liverpool today.

I love being able to turn off the alarm clock when it rings on sats/suns - leave it set as normal - JUST for that privilege!

I've had a quick read through your posts - wow how many of you had trouble getting off to sleep last night. ((((((hugs)))))) to you all - I'm so lucky to be able to sleep like a log. Only stay awake if something is REALLY bothering me or there are a bunch of 'local scallies' on the prowl around here.

DD was complaining of 'twinges' all day yesterday and then spent the evening clearing out her bedroom - SURELY signs of 'things beginning to happen'. Realised that I'd promised to provide her with a bag of toiletries to take in hosp with her. Quick trip to ASDA for a 'washbag' (how old-fashioned of me). What has happened to the good old washbag - no chance? My fault really - should have tried Superdrug or Boots earlier in the day I suppose. Finished up paying £8.49 for a plastic 'trainbag' with a couple of compartments - total swizz. By the time I had bought the usual bits and pieces to go in it - I wouldn't like to add up what I spent. I bought some of those travel size items (99p each!!!!!) - ridiculous price. Should have just used my own travel containers and put a bit of shampoo and showergel into them from my own bottles - would have been much cheaper. Also bought her a couple of pairs of pj's, plain briefs (to hold mat.pads) and some slippers - just KNEW she wouldn't have them. When I gave them to her, she said 'Ooooh mother what are you like?' When I asked if she already had them the answer was 'Well - NO actually!' She's had 9 bliddy months to get ready for this and hadn't done something as simple as that!

Hope you all have a good day - with lots of OS going on.

    Morning everybody :hello:

Happy birthday Plumduff and PenPen - and belated happy birthday to ivyleaf :bdaycake:

mioliere - love to you and yours, sorry to hear your MIL is so ill.

Penny-Pincher is still not feeling up to a visit, but we've been texting each other and she's better than she was. I've told her how many people on here have wished her well, she says hi back :hello: She hates hospitals but her OH is there most of the time looking after her.

stefejb - I have only been to the Imperial War Museum once, despite the fact that I could walk there in 40 mins :o I really want to go to the Holocaust exhibition so I must go again - last time I went I was with my mum and she really didn't want to see either the Holocaust exhibition or the other similar one (is it called something like Genocide - Man's Inhumanity to Man?) She was more interested in WW1 aeroplanes anyway, she's been doing her family tree and her great-uncle was a fighter pilot who got shot down aged 23 :(

Can't stop for long as I'm off to the market with my cousin. She is the most disorganised person I know - how she survived 8 years as an army officer I really can't imagine - but I'm going to introduce her to the wonders of market shopping and buying fruit and veg in bulk. We're taking my wally trolley :D

    Love to all
    Rzl xx

    Good morning everyone,

Happy Birthday Pen Pen & Duffy :bdaycake::bdaycake:Hope you both have a lovely day.

Ninny has had a bit of a sad day. I felt a bit guilty last night in bed because his last day I was a cranky pants from being so tired. :( I put the pantry to rights this morning & started in the bathroom. Done DD's hair & DH got the ingredients on his way home so I can do the cucumber pickles tomorrow. He couldn't get celery seeds so I will substitute them with nothing :D and I'm sure all will be ok.

Went to Mass tonight and one woman there cracked a mental when we were all wishing each other peace. She got up and yelled *this is bull$hit,:D you all make me sick :D she then started to rant. When it was time to go up and get communion, she threw her chair across the floor & stamped out. :rotfl:It really made my night. We had a visiting priest and he looked like a blinded rabbit caught in headlights. I got the giggles. :D I've never seen her there before. I'd say she's got a few problems.

Kyle Welcome back. I've tried to keep Twink in line like you asked. :D
    Stef :p
TiredMum Know how you feel. ((((hugs))))
Haribo Is that you?? I thought you were having a break. :D

OK, off to have a bit of a surf and then watch some telly. Hope you do well in the Rugby btw. Byeeeeeeeeee
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)
