Morning all. Dailies done and I've done a quick hoover through. I'm not planning to step outside today as the snow is now at the compacted, icy stage and I'm not risking it.

Will job search and then look at the list.

    Have a great day everyone.

    Morning,
Today I HAVE to write a list and tick it off, as I'm so bored with looking out of the window thinking of all the things that I can't [STRIKE]be bothered to[/STRIKE] get on with. Thanks for the start, Natty, as the are a few things on today's list that I will have to do. Feeding the poor birds is coming quite high up. I might even blow the dust off the Toots list and see if somethimg practical can be done there. Or I might have another cuppa.

Everyone is home, the village is pretty much cut off unless you have a tractor. OK - I'm going to finish my tea and write a list at the same time...see, multitasking supremo me!

Hope everyone is Ok. Take it carefully YL, and anyone else venturing out if it is bad where you are. X

Ok, so I stepped outside the back door to feed the birds. Thanks for the reminder.

I've just been in my garage, the door was closed correctly, but I was met by a snow drift! :) so I have just spent 20 mins brushing it out of the garage, it must have just got under the door, and it is very windy here.

    Hoovering is done
List made for a walk into town. I DO need hearing aids batteries, I thought I had another packet but don't, lets hope the Dr's is open.

Can I join in with the scrimpers too please! Nothing spent as yet but have earned a bit.

Snow here but not a lot really. Of course both kids are off and S is very excited to be out playing in the snow! Z not happy as been grounded until Sunday - she went to her boyfriends house when school was closed, DH told her when to be back by - 5.00 at the latest (bus stop right outside his house) and she ignored it completely then texted us asking for a lift. He was not happy.

Just done a bit of work then best get dressed and get outside. I'm thinking it'll be lovely to have the wood burner on when we get back in again!

Twinkles turn for the pukey bug.. she started at 11:30 last night so it was 2:30am before we got her clean and settled. So today I have superking bedding to wash, cot bedding, 3 of her sets of clothes, 2 of mine, 4 towels and 2 cuddly toys!!! She kept down her morning boof and is now nibbling dry cereal so we shall see.

Dot is leaping about in her usual manner and Squeak is slobbed on the sofa whining that she can't go to school.. so she too is back to herself.

2x WM on .. sicky cot bedding in first with the teddies.. this was the worst lot... it was just milk after this.
    1x TD on
OH gone to Lidl for necessities.. these don't count as spends because we have to eat!

I MUST get to chemist to pick up prescriptions today..

As for bedrooms.. There is so much stuff in my front room to go back upstairs.. I think I might need to make a better effort at ebeasting because I have 15 boxes of random gubbins now.. it really needs to go! It is just too much!

OH back and shopping away.. including the split milk carton.

Glad today is 'bits' as I have spent the last hour walking round each room moving items that should be in another room, I'm convinced all my possessions spend a happy night migrating from one room to another just to spite me.
    Fed birds.
Mr N went round to MIL yesterday to find the poor thing had had a D&V bug, in every room, she had tried to do some clearing up but not very successfully so he spent about 3hrs mopping, washing etc. I offered to go round but he said he was under control. He's gone to check her this morning and go to Mr T but seemed happier for me to stay at home flying and writing a report.

Warm thoughts to all those struggling in the snow; we've got off relatively lightly which is unusual for Herts/Essex.
Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.

Oh poor you, Lynne! The installation was a bit of a faff I seem to remember, so it's particularly galling to find it's not actually finished the hard way. *warming vibes* I heartily recommend Bovril if you're feeling the cold.

It's all melting here but the windchill factor means it feels colder than it did yesterday, which is very odd. Kelpie trundled three times and given various snacks to calm him down, garden birds and the robins and blackbirds I feed on dogwalks have all been well fed this morning. It turns out the fatballs we bought smash up very easily, so I'm mixing them with seed for the ground feeders on the pavements.

The dining room is cluttered up with scarves, caps, gloves, boots, jackets, socks, grippers and anything else I can find to keep us upright, dry and warm when we venture outside. Fanatical declutterers say if you haven't worn it for a year, you don't need it. Not true AT ALL about foul weather gear.
    Better is good enough.

Just been onto page 1 to make sure I'm on the Scrimpers list - I think I may have more luck with this than Slinkies! :D

Yesterday was a NSD - we got the cash to pay for the Farmers market stuff Sunday, but didn't actually part with any money.
Today we are going precisely nowhere; I have been down the garden to attend to the birds' feeding station, and that's as far as I'm going.

Tomorrow's meet'n'greet has been postponed because of the weather; probably looking at Friday as the doggie's dad works from home that day; just waiting to hear what time they'd like to come (we are free all day so leaving it to them to decide what's best for them).

I need to do a birthday card for a former D&D chap - I have it designed, just need to chuck Mr LW off the pc so I can print it. And I've thought of an idea for cards for Mr LW's three nephews - they're not til later in the year, but might as well get them done while I have the idea in my head. ;)
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)
