NST March: Marching to a different beat

NSD No 15
Spent the day looking for things for the boy. We've actually got loads of things he can have - spare chopping board etc. I also stock up on things when they are cheap so I already have kitchen foil. kitchen roll etc. I think I'm almost as excited as he is!
So apart from that just been cleaning and tidying. Expect the house is going to be a bit of a tip for the next couple of months. It's not very big so boxes all over the place I suspect. Oh well!Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.0 -
We are 2/3 of the way there. Just 10 more days of March left. How are you getting on? How are the budgets looking? Are you still noting every spend? Have some niggles crept in that are throwing you off your stride?

Sorry for your loss thrifty.
Nsd 11/18 here. Busy day at work, so tired I feel too sick to eat. Never happens, somewhere there's a pig that's sprouted wings or a devil skiing home from a day's work at Hell HQ...0 -

Sadly my cousin passed away on Monday (cystic fibrosis). Had a few unexpected spends as I managed to get cheap flight home to Germany in time for the family service (plus train and a hotel night). But it's just money, would have really regretted not to go. Grateful that she passed peacefully, I'll manage to be there to support my family (and the emergency fund).
Sorry for you loss thrifty:(
Today was a spend day. Done all my food shopping and paid all my bills.:T Should be good for the next few days spending wise.No Spend November 2/15 and SPC 1340 -

All ok here, budgets are holding up. Won't meet the NSDs target, but I don't do a weekly shop as such, but tend to shop little and often to take advantage of different shops, the market etc, which suits me better, and (I find) is definitely cheaper than relying on one supermarket shop. I appreciate not everyone has the time to do this, but I am retired now, and this is the best way (for me) to manage the pennies, especially as I have had to give a lot of financial and other help to a family member this year0 -

Thinking of you, thriftylass. Like Kerry Woman, I'm keeping you and yours in my prayers.
Today I am grateful for some lovely bus drivers, for beautiful sunshine, for cheerful children, for finding what I wanted in the £shop, for dd meeting me off the bus, for doing some drumstick knitting, for my phone holding charge, for headspace.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -

Had to buy fuel on way home from collecting DS2 - decided to only fill up halfway-ish (£30 as opposed to £65) Also got some YS veggies and cookies from the attached supermarket
Today I am thankful for:

* finding YS items which will all be used
* a brilliant parents evening last night for DS2
