NST March: Marching to a different beat

congratulations debtfreewannabe it is an exciting time.
today should be a NSD as I feel like I have been hit by a truck ha ha. I have dragged my sorry bum into work feeling as sick as a dog - oh well, long soak in the bath tonight and an early night should see me right.
I wouldn't mind but I treated myself to some weight watchers granola and was looking forward to it so much and can now only manage a small piece of toast
Grateful for hub helping with the kids last night and this morning, for my little one keep putting his arms above his head and telling me he is a sausage and for nicer weather!!0 -
Debtfreewannabe congratulations :j and Good Luck with your Law studies indigo warrior
Sadly my cousin passed away on Monday (cystic fibrosis). Had a few unexpected spends as I managed to get cheap flight home to Germany in time for the family service (plus train and a hotel night). But it's just money, would have really regretted not to go. Grateful that she passed peacefully, I'll manage to be there to support my family (and the emergency fund).DEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/250 -
Sorry for your loss Thriftylass0

Debtfreewannabe - Very well done. That must be a fantastic feeling.
Thriftylass - I'm really sorry to hear of your loss.
Thanks for the ideas, everyone. A few things there I hadn't thought of and yes, Mothernerd, I can just see him standing surrounded by dripping dishes wondering where the tea towel is. Useful box is a great idea and I probably have most of it already. Also thought maybe a basic medical kit (elastoplast, antiseptic cream etc). We have quite a lot of things like bedding, towels etc that he can have. I remember when I moved in here with him many years ago, barely able to pay the bills, all the little things that we needed but didn't have and couldn't afford to buy. The cost all adds up. So I'm in on my own today and I'm going see what he can have that we don't need. Already discovered an unused tin opener and a bottle opener. Every little thing will help and it just might be me a bit more room.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.0 -
Thanks debtfreewannabee you must have nudged my gas man coming to coming today after work . I am so excited to have a cooker installed.
Thrifty sincere condolences and hugs
Had a lovely catch up with dd and chocolate cake yesterday. Helpful staff cut it into 2 for us so we shared 1 huge piece, so not many pennies spent.
Today will have to part with money for gasman for cooker fitting and new tap fitting. Got the taps as a freebie through work. Yeah.
Much happier today and my patio door man has been in touch so Friday hopefully - fingers crossed.LBM 13039 1.1.13 Now £0 Finally Debt FreeMortgage free Oct 2019:)EFund/savings £25000 10/11/220 -
