  • Well if the central heating is meant to be the primary source of heat at least that gives you an added argument that the boiler needs sorting!

Boiler has been sorted and had a much enjoyed wallow in the bath tub last night.  The old girl loved the physio, honestly if a dog could've asked me to peel her a grape she would've!

Well what a day!  First port of call was the accountant, quick cup of tea.  DD1 had arranged to borrow a friends pickup to move some unwanted settees. She couldn’t use ours as it had a canopy on and we can’t take them on our trailer as it’s too big. Anyway arrived at the recycling centre and it was closed due to adverse weather. There wasn’t a breath of wind. Very frustrating. Ultimately they’re now sat in the garden. Not sure what’s going to happen to them.

The wind is getting up now, just have to see what happens.

How irritating on the sofas. Glad your heating is working again. Hope the stove gets replaced.

Friends on the forum, please can you keep everything crossed.  DS1 has put an offer in on a house.  Sealed bids closed at dinnertime.  OH and I viewed it last night, DS1 was busy sorting cows so left it up to us what we thought.  I spent last night in contact with a broker and got a mortgage offer in principle for DS1.  If this proceeds (small prayer) we will rent the house off DS1.  Just playing the waiting game.....patience isn't my virtue.

Sorry about that. Not surprised you are ready to move though with all the things that keep happening in your current place. Hopefully next time.

Just read the EPC rating for where we live, if the house is an F or more they can’t let it. Ours is an E go figure!  We’ll keep looking.  Booked tickets to go to ladies day at the races. It’s messed up a bit as normally the Monday is a bank holiday. Due the Queens jubilee it’s different this year. May have to pull rank and go in later as we’ve already booked a night at a hotel. Something to look forward to.
