Ordered the supplements and got 2 months supply (£99! Eek) hope they ruddy well work.
Staff off sick at b&b so did a long day normal day job plus night shift, managed 25 covers but literally hit the ground running as orders were already in so didn’t get chance to set up how I like it. Didnt go in last night as I was supposed to get my nails done but it’s been moved to Friday. Can’t come soon enough, 2 nails are splitting straight across the middle and are a bit ouchy. Got fetching blue plasters on them. I’m in again tonight so another long day.
Yesterday was nice weather wise. OH was off, he’s figured out what’s up with the cement mixer and a new filter has been ordered. He mended neighbours car as the parts had arrived. He helped me get some more muck, cardboard and seaweed onto the new bed, then he helped topping it off with top soil and compost. Haven’t quite made it to the end. Still need some more compost/topsoil and seaweed. Might see if I can get that tomorrow. Topsoil could be a Friday morning job before nails.
No wins on the pbs this month.
DD1 has been back to ENT this morning for a check up. She ended up passing out but feels ok now. She’s finally allowed to get it wet. She has to go back in a year, at the moment she doesn’t need a hearing aid.

Last night was steady, only 20 covers on what’s usually one of our busier nights. Realised why as I left, a restaurant that’s usually closed on a Wednesday and Thursday was open. I checked the website when I got home and they’re open 7 days a week. I think that will be the start of the end.
I’m really hoping for good weather on Sunday and hopefully we can get the flower bed finished.

Finally finished the flowerbed we’ve been trying to make and it’s now ready for planting.

    IMG_9161.jpeg

Behind the back board we’ve put gravel down to make a french drain. It did mean running some planks across the stream

    IMG_9162.jpeg

so OH could get a run up with the wheelbarrow. On the last run it slipped and dumped the whole lot in the stream. OH got caught between the handles of the barrow, he’s a bit bashed up but ok. We’ve deliberately left the posts long and run 2 wires down them so we can put climbing plants up. Whether they will stand the weather remains to be seen. I’ve got a list of plants that like ericaceous soil. I’ve no idea about the planting so I’m going to let Chatgbt help with the design.
Today is the day the fencing goes to committee. They’ve already suggested it should be granted so I think it will go ahead. Funnily enough he’s actually back up in his house.
DD1s birthday today. She’s requested a carrot cake. The recipe says it should be cooked in a cake tin. I’m going to do it in a loaf tin then I can cook it in the air fryer. It saves putting the oven on for one item and I can’t think of anything else to do at the same time.
Went to a practice session to play Pickleball last night. OH had the perfect excuse, losing the battle to the wheelbarrow so he stayed at home. Took neighbours daughter with me. Called in at my other work to see work buddies. It’s really not a happy ship at the moment with 1 person being a diva.

you've worked hard on the flowerbed!
I cook most cakes in a loaf tin now so I can fit it in the air fryer.

Thanks BC. It’s in the air fryer now. Ended up making 2 loaf tins, as I thought the mixture looked like it would escape out of 1!

As I thought planning has been granted for the deer fencing. We will just have to wait and see what develops next.
