Glad you found a solution to ease the pain in your foot. Sounds very difficult. Hope the back is easing now too. Would a tens machine or similar help for your bakc?

Love the photos. That Daisy was amazing.

My back has eased but I can still ‘feel’ it has the potential to ping again.
Busy night on Thursday and did 36 covers, a surprisingly easy shift. Friday was 19 covers but felt a lot harder, don’t know why. Busy last night but don’t know how many.
On Saturday met a friend and went to an open day on various different therapies. Had a taster session with reiki. Can’t say I felt any different, maybe need to have a proper session.
Then we had a kayaking session, which was really good. The sea was really calm and like a mirror. Finally my ‘friend’ (is she really?) made me take a dunk in the sea! She does it regularly and there’s a group that meets at the boat shed she goes wild swimming regularly. I was last in and first out!

Decided to grab an Indian takeaway on the way home. A new Indian has opened not very far from where we live, which is brilliant but also dangerous!

Finally heard back from the architect we met on the way south and he has sent back his drawings. I was so disappointed, waited over 2 weeks for these and had frequent chats on what we wanted, location and functionality. I was so underwhelmed. Do I threw my toys out the pram and went on ChatGPT. Honestly I think it read my mind, it created what I was thinking. Not sure what to do. Do I send him the pics and get him to use those? It will possibly need planning permission but going to have another go and see if it can create it to come under permissible building regs. Just got to be careful because of nasty neighbour. Ah speaking of which, his retrospective planning application for the deer fencing is going to committee as there has been so many objections.

Not the best of weeks. Found out yesterday my Sunday shift is being cancelled after this Sunday. I think the writing is on the wall and there won’t be any food served next year if not before.
I did go back to the architect to revise the drawings and he has changed them. But in view of the above it’s not going to be feasible or affordable to do it.
Sleep or lack of has raised its ugly head again. I’m not sure if it’s still part of the lurgy OH has shared or the menopause back with a vengeance. At least it’s taken my mind off my foot and arm!
I didn’t get called to go in for jury duty, which was a relief as I didn’t fancy having to drive to town every day.
Had my hair done yesterday, not looking as skunk like as I was!

Sadly no sign of the heatwave up here. I can’t believe we are approaching half way through the year. The unfinished projects from last year still remain…unfinished. We just haven’t had the weather and it’s still cold.
Renewed the house insurance up £110 on last year but they still came in cheaper than anyone else. I also realised I hadn’t insured OHs hearing aids so that added to it. Payday this coming week, yay.

Ugh to all the shoddy things, sending sympathy and a large glass of wine

Hooray for not getting called to jury service though, that's a definite win

OH told me we’d run out of bread. Neighbour was in town and got me 2 loaves. Went to put one in the freezer and lo and behold the bread fairy had been and left 3 loaves. Sigh!

Last night was my last Sunday shift. I was on my own in the kitchen but did have a trusty KP helping. I did 37!!! Covers. It was hectic but I managed. I cannot understand the new managements thinking. They’re closed for meals today (it’s bank holiday!!!) and not doing covers on a Saturday or Sunday ( the season hasn’t properly started).
The weather is pants, you lucky bunnies having some nice hot sun. Looking at the long range forecast we possibly might get 2 days of ok weather before it turns crap again.
Hoping to go up to neighbours to get one of the girls clipped. Made the decision to take the lot off as she is just a walking tatty mess. She’s had a full clip before so should be ok with it.
Yesterday I deep cleaned the living room and found OHs glasses under one of the settees, also lots of the girls toys for them to chew.
I’m making a Greek orzo salad type thing for tea and a cheesecake. Made the base the other day so just got the topping to do.
