Hugs . I think it's so difficult when people don't have hobbies.

  • watching the news all the time won’t be helping, very depressing 🥴

Does he exercise? I always find a long walk outside corrects my bad mood

My husband gets in those moods sometimes and anything you suggest gets shot down… very frustrating 😬

We currently have 4 pooches. The puppy was his project, she’s now my project to add to the list! So that’s a no to walking, I think in the time we’ve been here he’s only taken them out on his own once!

Speaking of pooches, 2 have been thoroughly brushed much to their disgust and the other one has had the clippers run over her. She’s also not very impressed but easier to do than the others. I’ve got 3 at the vets this week, 2 for boosters and the pup to be weighed for worming.
Work are losing 2 housekeepers. I’ve thought about it and volunteered my services to use the ironing press on a Thursday and Friday. It won’t make up for losing my Sunday shift but a couple of extra hours will help. Remind me I volunteered for this when I’m whinging about the ironing!!

in addition to running the doggy salon, I’ve dug up stones that might catch the mower end evicted 2 sacks of ragwort. I pull it every year but there seems more than ever and that’s on top of spraying it earlier on. Still got quite a bit more garden to check but decided to spend the last hour on the sun lounger with a couple of cheeky alcoholic beverages and my kindle. I even managed to get my peely wally legs out to air! That’ll make it rain!

Is OH maybe a bit depressed?

Your flowerbed looks absolutely fantastic - what a difference! well worth all the hard work.

That's a blow about the job being on shaky ground - you may well be right about the other restaurant being the problem, but you employers either need to raise their game or just roll over!

I very much doubt they will be selling evening meals next year. Which is partially my thinking of getting to grips with the ironing, perhaps pick up some more hours that way (deep joy)

Advertised the boat on some more selling sites so fingers crossed someone will want it.
Decided not to go to pickleball tonight, I’m knackered and once again not sleeping very well.
I’ve asked the people we’ve booked the cottage for at Christmas if they would let us book it for an extra 3 days before our original entry date. They’ve said yes. Just checking with the chaps if they’d be ok with the extra cost as we share it between 5 of us. DDs have said yes, just waiting for DS2 he’s on nights so should hear back later.
I’ve pulled all the recipes out my folder that I’ve never cooked. I’m making an effort to cook them and if they’re ok they get added back into the folder. Tonight’s tea is leftovers from Sundays new recipe which is a keeper. Can’t remember what it’s called but it involved chicken 🐓 😊

Christmas holiday cottage booked for a few extra days. Everyone is happy to contribute, it also means we won’t freeze out bits off staying at a DDs house until we could normally have it.
Dogs have had their boosters, wormers and tick treatments. A total of £336! Swoon. OH got his tuft cut and the rest polished!!

Friday was our Anniversary of moving here, 3 years. Tonight we are having a takeout which I’ve already ordered and OH will collect.
We have had zero in the form of any heatwave. In fact it’s been chilly and I’ve had to put my radiator on in my office! No sign of flaming June here, more like soggy autumn!

Coming home from my other job and there was a great electrical storm. It was ok while I was in the car until it dawned on me I’d have to get out and open the metal gate!! 😦

I’m going to do a roast dinner tomorrow and promised neighbour I’d take some up for her and her daughter on Monday. Prepped the veg today and stewed some fruit for a crumble. Was going to make the topping but cba crept in.
I’ve been researching the plants I want for my new flowerbed. There’s an offer on bulbs and for the amount I need it’s a bit scary!

Started using the ironing press, I worked 9.5 hours yesterday. My foot is agony today. I am going to have to put my big girl pants on and go to the docs. It’s not so bad when I’m at work, it’s when I get home and take my shoes off and go to bed. I certainly know it’s there!!!!

OH sawed some logs up. I was going to split them today but the splitter says no. Not sure what it’s sulking about!

Going back to OH bring fed up of working, we are once again thinking about pods. Yes I know this is working but it’s for ourselves and hopefully a year or 2 of hard work and then we can call the shots. Plus I’ll probably carry on working. I’ve booked tickets to the glamping show in September.
OH did have a boat enquiry so see if that comes to anything.
