Yesterday certainly didn’t go to plan. I think my car was huffed it had milk spilt all over it. It decided it wasn’t starting. Friend came over to jump it, nothing happened. Put it on a trickle charger. Friends daughter took me to work and OH picked me up.
Car has been on charge overnight and still nothing. Can’t get the boot open to directly bump the battery as it’s part of the battery system. Currently waiting for recovery.
Honestly, we’ve got 3 vehicles, 2 modern ones and the ‘03 Gary Golf. Who has got our backs covered? Good old Gary. The other vehicle is still waiting for a sensor which should arrive in March and has been out of action since January. Gary is struggling as he needs new coil packs which have been ordered today and we’re treating him to new spark plugs as well.
Today’s plans have been shelved as waiting for recovery. Just hope it gets sorted as we’re supposed to head south on Friday.

Worrying times, DS2 is in Kuala Lumpur and due to fly home via Dubai on the 4th. Hoping things will improve by then.
Recovery have been out to the car and they haven’t managed to get to the bottom of it. I was expecting them to phone yesterday with a solution and possible uplift but not heard from them. Borrowing naughty next door neighbours daughters car to get me to work today. Need to sort some insurance.
Cancelled my nail appointment for tomorrow night as I’ve no vehicle. They are going to drive me mad if they get too long.
Booked a sports massage for when I’m down (hopefully make it). Ask him to look at my arm, neck, leg and foot which are all ouchy.
Weather is awful today. Did get a nice walk in the other day. I’ll put a pic on. Also borrowed nndn (naughty next door neighbour) clippers and OH helped clip the girls legs, tummies and lady parts. They look ridiculous but it was the nicest way.

DS2 is frantically trying to rebook flights and also wincing at the cost. Please keep everything crossed.

My son is in Dubai and due to fly from Abu Dhabi on the 3rd with BA and they have cancelled their flights. Now booked on one 6th. Fingers crossed.

He’s hopefully got a flight on Thursday that’ll get him to Amsterdam and then hop over to Blighty from there.

The car is mended, does happy dance! Computer not talking to car. Mechanic who came out to uplift it said it was a last ditch attempt. He also knew how to get the boot open manually. I’ve made notes. Took a lead off the battery and left it for a few minutes, then reconnected it. There was life! They’ve made friends and it’s working. He said he had no idea why it did it and it probably wouldn’t happen again. Fingers crossed.

March will be more expensive as a Costco run might happen.
