Oh heck - hadn't thought about the two Friday 13ths on the bounce!
Fingers crossed for a reply from the groomer so you know what's going on.

The physio says it’s my rota cuff that’s having a strop. Got some exercises to do, so hopefully that’ll get it sorted.
First shift of the season done, 4 covers so a very gentle start.
Groomer has made contact so that’s still happening. Got hair and nails today.L

Feeling meh at the moment. Groomer did 1 pooch so I’m back again this Saturday with the other 2 but as I haven’t got a shift we aren’t under any time constraints.
Really not sure how job 2 is going to pan out. I’ve got 2 shifts this week, Friday and Sunday but the week after doesn’t look very promising.
Im thinking suck it up for now until DD1s op is out the way and possibly until baby is born and then have another think.

Unexpectedly got calked into work on Thursday night, literally before wine o’clock was about to happen. Last night was a bit of a crap show. Arrived to a mountain of washing up because they’d had to switch the hot water off (apparently not heard of a kettle). Managed to get that cleared before service. Did 17 covers on my own and still had all the washing up to do. Service is supposed to stop at 8, so I started clearing up and putting things away, switching ovens off etc when the new chap announced he was seating the last 4 at 8.15. Not a happy duck. Both the dishwasher and fridge are leaking so you’re constantly paddling in a puddle. No help offered to dry the mountain of cutlery.
No chance of a lie in as 2 of the girls at the groomers. Got dog food and a couple of bits from the Co-op, then went to the groomers, I was 10 minutes early. Couldn’t see her car but knocked anyway, no answer Fair enough I was early, sent a text to say I was early. Got to 11 phoned and left a message, waited till 11.15 and came home. Still not had a reply or phone call. Saving grace was that I did need mutt food. Grumped my way over to the naughty next door neighbour and had a coffee and winge. Spent the rest of the day on the settee rewatching Call The Midwife.

What extremely poor form on both fronts.
I read 'winge' as 'wine' and thought 'sounds a bit early but after that nonsense fair play' 😁

Still had no response from the groomer, I’m a bit concerned as she did come across as having some mental health issues. Not sure how to proceed. I’ve borrowed naughty next door neighbours clippers, OH is off on Saturday so he said he’ll help.
Speaking of which he’s in the outdoor door kennel for a time out. He’s 60 next year and I’ve been attempting to compile a list of presents things to do to make his 60th year memorable. He only went and found it!! Then last night he opened a package that wasn’t addressed to him and it was his birthday present #fuming! His birthday is at the end of march.
He was off on Tuesday and decided to bake (he’s a good baker). He wanted to make bread and a fruitcake. I can’t make bread. We had a bread mix in stock and needed yeast which I found and left out for him. I returned to my office as I was wfh. He appears and said “I’ve put the yeast away and can’t find it”. I replied “You put it away so go look for it”. He sorted that out and then came to tell me the Kenwood wasn’t working. My heart sank as this was my mums and is a family heirloom. I dutifully trotted to the kitchen and had a look at my baby, switched the switch nothing happened. Heart thundering in my chest, contemplating how quick I could get him under the patio before he’d be missed and wondering if the digger would start? Then said it helps if you plug it in…..Well after a days baking, OH has successfully made bread rolls into weapons of mass destruction. Honestly the cooling racks were bowing under the weight of them. I think the dogs need to go the the vets for some kind of jaw realignment/adjustment. It did keep them occupied for hours. The fruit cake was lovely.
A quiet shift last night only 2 covers and 3 staff on, looks quiet tonight as well.
Went out on Monday night to meet a couple of engineers who I use for wfh job. They were up doing some work here and were staying at the guest house where I do second job. Hope that makes sense. I bought some milk and naughty snacks and then met them for a chat. Had to brake hard on the way home as there was a bird in the road, didn’t think anything of it until I got home and found the milk had fallen off the backseat and leaked all over the footwell, 4 pints gone!Spent Tuesday chipping milk icebergs out the frozen one till I had enough to make a coffee. Spent Wednesday (dry enough to have the carpet washer outside without electrocuting myself) cleaning the foot well. Had enough solution left over, I thought I’d wash the bedroom carpet. The brushes didn’t spin. A quick look on YouTube made me realise it was an OH job. New belts ordered.
I slipped when I was outside. Luckily only the dogs saw me and only my pride and large derrière were injured. That’ll teach me for going out in crocs! However OH also slipped as he was walking over the grass, he banged his head and his neck is sore.
Gosh what a lot of waffle!Payday this week, whoop!
