Oh what a nuisance about your friend cancelling - hopefully she had good reason. As you say though, silver linings and all that.

I’m home. Didn’t set off as early as I normally do (4.50am). Got back just after 1 which included me stopping to do the Lidl shop. Glad I checked the app as I had 10% off. I even went back in to get the free bits I earned on that shop (bakery item, biccys (Jaffa cakes) & veg, cauliflower as I’ve got loads of spuds). Be nice to sleep in my own bed and have an OH shaped hot water bottle for my frozen trotters!

Couldn’t believe how late it was before it went dark, it was round 5.30! It was so wet dahn sarf, it’s been glorious up here.

Met 2 of the badders crew, not to play but in the pub for a catch up.

I’m in DD1s bad books. I met the plasterer on Friday and she got the quote later that night. It does say the walls needed to be finished getting stripped. She had 1 wall in her bedroom to do. I made a start. Apparently I wasn’t supposed to….last night we finished stripping that wall. It was a very quiet working environment. We’re cool now.
Had a lovely weekend in Keswick. Went to the pencil museum and it was really good! They hollowed out pencils in WW2 so they could put miniature maps in them!

Doesn’t look like I’ve got any shifts in the b&b this month. It reopens under new management on Sunday. I’m going to call in then and sign my contract.
DD1 has got a possible date for her operation, just need it confirmed.
A small win on the pbs all gratefully accepted.
OH stone picked the other bed I didn’t get round to doing
Called round to neighbours so I didn’t fall asleep. She looks a lot better. Still not 100%. but perhaps turned a corner.

Loads of lovely positives there 😊

My particular faves are pub, free jaffas, and warming feet on OH 😂🍻

Glad DD1 has stopped sulking and that neighbour is seeming a bit better, and those pencils sound marvellous

Managed to get a load of washing dry, which smells divine. If you could only bottle that smell!

We have made a decision and settled on a date for OHs 60th next year and sent out save the date cards to immediate family and friends. Now need to start planning and finish the garden projects we’ve started. As long as NN stays under the rock he’s currently crawled under. We still haven’t heard back from his sols, it’s been well over a month. Not sure how to proceed or let sleeping dogs lie. Thoughts clever peeps of t’internet?

I would probably chase the solicitors as he sounds likely to spring up again if not put firmly in his box
