Sleeping.  More to the point lack of it. Bedtime feels more like a nightmare at the moment. 2 am seems to be a sticking point. I’ve seen far too many of them recently. Hot, cold duvet on, duvet off, glare at OH blissfully unaware and fast asleep. Camomile tea before bed does help. The HRT patches I tried had no affect. Feel like a functioning zombie.

Last 2 nights have been slightly better. Though last night awake at 2 with trapped wind, good job there were no naked flames around…..
Gary Golf is blowing like a good ‘un or should that be a bad ‘un? Got a quote off the garage to replace the whole exhaust and cat £600 it’s more than he’s worth, bearing in mind he’s 23 years old but only has 76k on the clock. OH is going to have another bash at welding him. He’s got an MOT in January. 

DS2 has applied for planning permission, so just waiting for that process to start.

It’s nice to be missed and you’re very welcome on here. 

Things aren’t great tbh. Nasty neighbour has crawled out from under his rock. We’ve had the delights of a solicitors letter to deal with which means we’ve had to lawyer up ourselves.  Still processing this. 

Sleep as you can imagine (what is sleep?) has gone completely out the window. Collected a prescription today to see if that helps. 

Sale of the b&b completed on Friday. Had another meeting with the new owners to confirm they aren’t changing anything. One of the other workers wants to do 3 days a week and is asking if I’ll work a Sunday. If I do that I’d only get 1 day a week off. 

Bet you wish you hadn’t asked now.

Au contraire, very glad I checked in and prompted you to share. What does Nasty Neighbour think the problem is? Do I remember correctly that you were kinda waiting for this as he's done the same with another neighbour?

If you don't want to do Sundays then just say 'sorry, that isn't possible for me at the moment'. It's not on you (or the other worker) to sort out the owners staffing timetables, I'm sure they can work something out. This is very much not your problem so you can bin that stress!

Hope you get a better night's sleep tonight. You are well, you have friends, you have family, all will be fine.
In fact when you've had a good night's kip or two, you will relish the prospect of defeating the joy vampire neighbour, and we will be here to support and advise how to best bring about his inevitable downfall (mwahaha)

Ah Pip, thanks for your input. 

Nasty neighbour has decided that we’ve interfered with the watercourse running onto his land (obviously we haven’t). Yes we’ve landscaped it and dredged the stream to prevent flooding. The stream still exists in exactly the same place onto his land.   Luckily I’ve taken photos of all our progress and google earth has proved a life saver. We’ve managed to go back to when the house was a building plot which clearly shows the stream.  OH managed to find a flood map from SEPA which shows the flood risk. Allegedly he wants to put 20 pods on. 

Currently he is putting deer fencing up, which looks bloody awful and resembles a prison camp. The planning department have been notified as the land isn’t being used for trees or deer culling. So, currently it looks like he’s in breach of planning. All the neighbours are up in arms. Fence the land but just put normal fencing up. 

Work, I have an inkling of a plan. I’m just annoyed that colleague is trying to organise me. I’m going to speak to new owners. I’ve got a large group in on Thursday night and she’s been desperate to ‘help’.  I keep getting messages on what she’s done to help and the things she’s getting out the freezer ready. I know she’s gunning to be head of kitchen and is insecure but I she’s not using me to put a spin on it.
