Easier walk today, only 8 ish miles. Think I’m going to lose a toenail. Crag rat leaves tomorrow (sob).
I’m hoping to build some shelves to go in the new shed. I can move my things out of the man cave (garage) and I have half of the shed to be my woman cave!
We’ve got visitors arriving on Monday. One is gluten free so planning on cooking beef !!!!!! off and carrot Dahl for the next night. They leave on Wednesday. OH has got time off, I’ve no leave left.
DS2 is making noises about coming up when he’s next onshore in November. I think he’s going to organise the architect for a site meeting.
My nephew and his wife had a baby girl on the 14th. He phoned to say they’d got the baby blanket I crocheted for them.

Lovely baby news L - glad to hear the blanket arrived ok and was appreciated as well, how fabulous to be able to send something so personal like that!

As for that walk- phew - that’s quite the achievement!

Gorgeous photo, lucielle, such odd looking rock formations in the water, they remind me of the Old Man of Storr. We got the ferry from Lochboisdale to Mallaig yesterday and could see the sun shining on the Cuillins :)

DD1 made it home safely, left at 3am and home for 10. Friends have been and gone. OH was chief tour guide and he had some leave left. I’ve used all mine up.
Got my flu jab tomorrow then off to Inverness. Booked a hotel room for 1 night. It’s got a pool so can’t wait for that. Need to check my swimming costume fits as I’ve lost some weight.
Got to sort the out door kennel out as the girls are going in there for the night. Neighbour is going to feed them and let them out.
Had a really lazy day yesterday and did nothing apart from go to neighbours for coffee. Awful nights sleep last night. Spent most of it fighting with the duvet, to hot to cold.
Today I need to get my act together, sort out the kennel, possibly move into my half of the shed and clean the house.
The small chest freezer we bought off fb has been moved into the garage. I checked it’s working by freezing some water. Planning on stocking this up when we’re in Inverness and can call in at Lidl. Initially with bread and milk.
I still can’t believe my nails have lasted this long. Though where they’ve grown is getting a bit rough and in need of picking but I’m resisting.

Trip was fine. Didn’t make it to the pool as OH the dafty forgot his swimmers.  However do have to return in a fortnight so will book the same place and might stand a chance of a swim!
So the wages have been and gone (already!). Need to pay for the holiday cottage we’ve booked for Christmas and the cc needs clearing. Could do with being in Ernie’s good books this month!
I must’ve slept funny as my hip and thigh on the right side is on fire. Hope it settles down as I’m kitchen and front of house tonight.

Just had a quote for the garage doors, I nearly passed out 5k!!!!! 2 roller shutter doors and we’d dismantle the current ones and get rid of them.
OH has hurt his back, just had to help him get his socks on. Made an appointment for our sports massager when we’re down south at the end of the month. Hopefully it will have eased a bit by then but I think it’s good to get it reset so to speak.
I think DS2 will be heading up this way when he comes onshore. We were talking kitchens the other day and he sent a post to me from a kitchen fitter about the 5 things he didn’t recommend, all of them I agreed with and had mentioned to DS2. I think he’s going to move the sink off the island…. Should listen to his mum!
Got to go for my B12 jab today. I forgot last week which was not like me and I phoned to apologise and rebooked. Had my flu jab on Monday and feel ok, not even a sore arm which I usually get.
