  • Agree about the weeding, we pebbled our beds beside the drive way. Did use silage sheets as the membrane cut to size and pegged down, roughly about 6 metres in length on either side of the drive that just took hours to weed and frankly life is too short. It's on a slight slope so drainage is fine and have put a couple of half barrel planters down each side for flower which are much easier to keep on top of.

Just reading up on the membrane I was thinking of using, apparently it’s not recommended. Looking at geotextile, I’ll ring the company tomorrow for more info. Also read that damp proof membrane is good…. Goes off to ponder

The meal was nice and would hi back. However what does grate on me is them adding on a service charge automatically. Service was ok, a couple of things they didn’t check back to see if everything was ok, had to ask twice for water, forgot to bring the glasses. Not major, also the service charge would have VAT added on as well. Gosh I sound a right moaning Myrtle!
the weather is nice so far. A chance some painting will get done.
OH has kindly shared his lurgy with me. My throat feels like glass, didn’t sleep very well.

No, absolutely agree about the service charge. It really pushes my buttons.

Gary golf has decided he wants to be a boy racer. OH decided it was my driving that has caused him to react this way. However after putting him on the ramps it has been deduced that when Halfords put his new exhaust on they’ve welded it to something they shouldn’t have and this is causing him to sound like a jet engine. Not something OH can fix.
Managed to struggle through a shift last night, though I felt like death warmed up. They did let me go once service had ended. I confess to purchasing medicinal chocolate and Pringles.
    Didn’t sleep very well.
Got Morrisons order to collect tonight.

Another rubbish nights sleep, feeling vile. Hoping by tomorrow I’ll have turned the corner.

We were told we’re going to be grandparents again. DGD1 is going to be a big sister. Still early days.

Right! I’m fed up of feeling rough. Did have a better nights sleep than expected. Just been and done a cottage, early start as the people left yesterday. Sweating like a fat lass and I think my lungs are trying to break out. Not planning on going very much until work this afternoon.

My weed matting has arrived and I managed to get the boards painted. I’ve ordered a heavy duty stapler so I can fix the matting to the boards. OH has made great progress on shed gate part 2. Just waiting to order the roof sheets.
