Well a beautiful baby girl has arrived and blanket delivered. Mum and daughter are fine. Puppies have opened their eyes and when I can remember how to get pics from phone to laptop I'll post a photo. Deposits received for 2, dogs owner has chosen and just waiting for a lady to decide if the boy is for her.
Had our first holiday makers in the cottage, everything ok except a mouse has moved in. Housekeeper has caught one but there's usually more. Just had a phone call to say the next lot of guests have broken the shower head so need to organise a new one.
Work has been busy but still trying to catch up with jobs. 2 weekends ago we all played crazy golf, DS2 and I were vying for bottom place and DD1 and OH got very competitive for the top spot. It was a lovely day out and nice to do something different.
Last Sunday DD1 and I climbed the highest hill in our part of the world. Poor old collie dog was completely shattered by the time we got back and didn't move all day Monday!!! Today is the first day I've not had a support bandage on my ankle which swelled up like a pudding. Doesn't help that I'm on my feet al day.
On Wednesday off to get my haircut. Can't say I'm particularly looking forwards to it. All the joy seems to have been sucked out of everything. There'll be no magazines, drinks and I have to take my own towel. I suppose as long as it keeps everybody safe that's the main thing.
Gave the kitchen a good scrub this morning and got loads of washing dry. OH washed the windows which needed it as we've house martins nesting in the corners and they don't half make a mess!!!
OH is credit card debt free. If I can't clear mine by 8th August I'll have to move it. Did a stupid mistake the other day and hadn't paid my M&S card so was hit with interest and late payment fee. I kept thinking there was a lot of money in my account but the lightbulb never switched on. TWIT.

Hi Lucielle - glad the baby girl and puppies arrived okay. Sorry to hear about your M&S CC. Hope you get things sorted and your ankle settles down. I'm nervous of my hair appointment too - it is this Saturday.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Hair appointment seems so long ago. Everything was fine and hair is a million times better than it was. The puppies are 6 weeks now and have been evicted to new quarters outside as they decided to chew the wallpaper!!!! In the process of weaning them and their mum has been to work for the first time yesterday. They've come on really quickly and the little shy one has really found her feet and keeps attacking the others, play fighting of course. Booked in for their first injections before they go, I think everyone is organised on when to collect them.
Got dealt a bit of a curve ball, my lovely housekeeper up north has decided she doesn't want to do it anymore. Just the fact that she feels vulnerable doing the turnrounds despite me leaving 4 days between guests. Gutted doesn't describe how I felt. Hopefully I've got a business to take over the running but it means I'm having to belt up there and get it sorted, turn it round before I leave and then get home. DD1 is going to come with me, need to get her on my car insurance then we can share the driving.
In other more mundane news my larder fridge has died. I did everything an engineer suggested but it wasn't to be resuscitated. They did advise me that stocks of white goods were running low and unsure when they'd be back in stock. Hmm food for thought, I don't think the full effects of lockdown have been really felt yet. I know for our business stocks of some items aren't expected in until next year. This is worrying as no stock = no business. I've also paid to have a dead freezer taken away as well as the fridge.
I've paid off my cc, a combination of business and raiding pots. I have a small amount on my barclaycard about £500 which is on 0% until 2021 but I hope to keep chipping away at it. My M&S card is at £250 as I've paid a chunk off towards the fridge and a few other bits and bobs that were on there. I've contacted the people about my working family tax overpayment, which I was paying back at £100 per month and increased that to £225 which fingers crossed should see that gone in 12 months.
Sneaky day at home waiting for fridge to be delivered so I promised I'd make some lemon drizzle cakes, not baked for ages.

Interesting about the white goods, I was just reading an article about how there is a glut atm from businesses that have gone bankrupt 🤷 it was about a huge auction house in Port Talbot, but they do online auctions as well as in store. Might be worth a Google. It was in the BBC site today as a story.
Edit
Just realised you have a new fridge coming! Will leave the above up though, might be useful for someone else 😁Debt free Feb 2021 🎉2 -
Thanks for thinking of me. New fridge installed slightly smaller than the other one but hopefully I'll get used to it. Forgot to say OH took me away for a night the other weekend after the rubbish week I'd had. Nice not to have to do the cooking.
