The drive is done, so much better for now. Had a lovely weekend away for our 28th wedding anniversary, really could've done with another day off to recover.
I couldn't get all my parcels away on Monday as ran out of printer ink, so left with 109 to do on Tuesday plus whatever else was sold. The problem with the printer is I've a new one on order which was supposed to be here on the 9th September, its now been moved to October so I'm trying to keep my inks low as they wont work in the new printer, normally I've a full set waiting to go in.
Had my B12 injection yesterday so should feel a bit more energetic in a couple of days.
Some of the guests up north have helpfully put baby wipes down the toilets and completely blocked it up. Had to get the plumber out to give it a rodding. GGRRRR, there's notes telling them not to do this. We're going up for 2 weeks in November, along with any offspring and girlfriends who're around at the time plus 3 dogs.
DD1 took dogs for a walk to a valley local to us, threw the ball and the old collie set off after it. The ball bounced off a tree over collies head. Sadly collie didn't bounce off the tree but ran into it and knocked herself out (she's ok). Took dogs to said valley again the next day, threw the ball and collie came back with dew claw sticking out at right angles. A visit to the vet who pulled it out (made me cringe) and not a whimper form the pooch (she's a tough old boot). I've got her on some anti inflamitiries (SP) half a tablet to see if it helps with her mobility.
My car is off to the car doctors tomorrow. You can remotely open the boot as well as using a button. Its taken to opening and then suddenly it drops and nearly decaptitates you, it doesn't do it every time. I think it'll need new gas struts. The warranty runs out on Sunday but I have a feeling this wont be covered. The hard thing will be to not wander round and spot the next car. Must stay strong.
Ds2s girlfriend hadto go to hospital the other day. She was turning a horse out and it reared, as it came down its hoof caught her face. She's bruised and needed some stitches but she'll be ok. Right better go do some work

Oo having been double barrelled by hind legs in the chest before I can imagine how much the hoof to the face hurt
Glad to hear you had a nice weekend away, even if you needed time to recover from it!
The boot struts on my car don't hold any more either ….but as I rarely really need to use the boot i'm not bothered about fixing them.....for now I shall prop the boot open on my head if needed

Car mended under warranty, thanks Volvo and hopefully going in for a radiator repair, fingers crossed also under warranty. OH had a day off today with DS2 and went go-karting. I womaned up and manned the workshop! Car off to get some new shoes tomorrow and it'll be tracked at the same time. Might manage a lie in!

So took the car to get new shoes and tracked, couldn't find the locking nut. The only place it has been are the tyre place and the Volvo garage, both denying they've got it. Will have to chase on Monday as service department closed today. Tyre chap did try his box of locking nuts but none fitted. Not a very happy duck! Did the shopping whilst I was out and about.
Came home and scrubbed the bathroom, OH was supposed to do it, I hate doing bathrooms but decided to just do it. Hopefully he'll wash the windows now the swallows and house martins have gone, they'll stay cleaner without them cr@pping all over them. DS2 cleaned the shower room so making some headway. Really miss my cleaning fairy, she was brilliant.
DS2 got a wage rise so spent some time time with him re-jigging his payments to his pots. He was hoping to pay some extra off his car finance but they weren't open, a job for him to do on Monday when he's off for his birthday.
Had a mini cooking session and made lasagne for 1 nights tea and put some chicken to marinade for Butter Chicken and stewed some apples which I'll make into something when the lasagne goes in the oven. Think I'll grab a cider and chill.

Just taken the hounds to the river. They've had a great time, just the aroma of wet dog to deal with. OH is doing the windows, DD1 has lit the fire and is allegedly making a brew, the kettle has boiled but no sign of any other action. I've pegged some clothes out but it keeps mizzling so doubt they'll dry. In other joyous news OH has found the locking nut so apologies to Volvo for the mutterings of incompetence. Have to try and fit it in again. Not much planned for the afternoon, might watch that David Tennent thong that was on.
