Had a great night at the badders meal and met a very charismatic chap who had us in stitches with his tales. Sadly won’t get to know him further as he’s moving to the Cairngorms.
Booked car parking and flights to London for January. Going to surprise my sister and turn up BIL is in on the secret. It’s her 60 th at the end of January, she’s having a party in July which I still need to organise travel and accommodation for, oh and doggy care.
Glorious day here and had the pooches out for a walk. One decided to play in the stream and was filthy. They’re now banished to the kennel room aka the dining room till they dry off.
Got some friends coming for a meal tomorrow night and they’re going to stay over. They’re also bringing their dog which mine haven’t met. What could possibly go wrong?

Forgot to say, on the way to the meal the other night, saw an otter running down the road. It’s the first one I’ve seen and didn’t realise how big they are.

How exciting on the otter. I remember seeing them as a child - don't think I've seen since though.

I'd take the extra work - particularly if they are willing to be flexible. You can review the other job in February.

Great news on your DS's mot. Hope DD resolves the floors issue.

Not feeling at my best, my throat feels like cut glass but no other symptoms apart from the usual knackeredness due to poor sleep.
It looks like DD1 is going to complete and exchange on 24th. She isn’t going to move in straight away as the floor issue needs to be resolved, which is being done on 11th December. As DS1 has a tenant for the house she’s in and is desperate to move in, thought it best to get her out before the first. A friend has an empty house she and DS2 can camp in and hopefully they’ll get moved before Christmas. I’m planning on going down next Thursday to help move stuff and clean the rental. DS1 needs to get his butt in gear and get a solicitor and tenancy agreement sorted, also gas and electric checked.
Supposed to be going to see a play tonight, hope I feel better.

Today isn’t going well and I want to crawl back under my rock. For some reason I am unable to withdraw from my premium bonds (need to as helping with deposit) gone through the process on the phone but failed security and now need to wait for the post. Can’t do a manual form with drawl as I don’t know my holders number. Only had it in on because of easy access. Form could take 5 days (probably longer as it’s Skye time). Not feeling my best and it seems to be always me having to sort everything.

  • L do you not have your holders number on an email from them? That's the only place I've ever gone when it's come to needing to find mine.  I do sympathise with your feeling that it's always down to you to do everything too - MrEH and I have had a few conversations about exactly that of late, and I've now made it clear that I need a bit more engagement from him in certain areas.

Exciting about DD's house although how annoying that she won't be able to move straight in on completion - I bet she will be desperate to get in there.

I’ve searched my emails but can’t find it. Hate it when I’ve been efficient and deleted stuff!  I do have a contingency plan but not ideal

Yes, I’ve tried all sorts of permutations. Resigned to waiting for the paperwork.
