The phone has been collected from out patients and is now back in my possession. B12 jab has been administered so hopefully will feel the benefit of that in a couple of days. Bought OH a new hair trimmer gadget thingy mebob and I treated myself to a new stick blender (old one was 28 years, bought to mush up baby food so had a good innings).
Lovely day here so mowed the lawn. Got my only shift at the b&b tomorrow it’s a long one which I like.

Finished the baby blanket for DD1s friend. Baby is due in November. This time next week DD1 will be on her way here, hope the weather Gods will go on our side.

Worked my only shift at the b&b. Once the chaps head off to uni there should be more work. Boss lady asked what I’d like to do  I said as long as I have 1 day off a week I’m happy to help. I might add in that where fits in with OHs shifts to try and schedule it so it falls when he’s off. He works 4 on 2 off.
Weather is yukky today, was hoping to go on a long walk but that’s not happening at the moment. See if it dries up later.

In the process of getting quotes to have a stove installed. Was recommended a chap who made contact initially and then appears to have been abducted by aliens. Sigh

The baby blanket is lovely - really good combination of colours.  I think mums to be seem to really appreciate home made gifts which is rewarding.

The blanket is lovely - so pretty!

Good luck getting the stove sorted - it's frustrating where workmen go awol like that isn't it - although better at this stage than part way through the job, I guess!

We are at the dithering stage of stove quotes. Have a quote but then doubting if it’s the right thing to do….

Boat launching once again failed miserably. Still the sodding thing won’t come off the trailer. OH managed to get it started and tried to reverse but it was definitely welded on!  I was nearly in full on headless chicken mode, had to keep an eye on the pickup to make sure the incoming tide didn’t go over the exhaust. Had to pull it forwards at one point and couldn’t get the 4 wheel drive to engage and just sat there skidding making deeper ruts. We gave up in the end. Have a chap coming tonight to see if he can get it off. Just hoping the wind drops a bit as it looks a bit choppy. Even if we can just get it off and get the rollers greased that will be an improvement.

Please can you all keep your fingers crossed DD1 has put an offer in on a house. She was supposed to view it last week but it went under offer before she had chance. The buyer pulled out so she viewed last night and offered this morning. The EA can’t get hold of the sellers at the moment but there were quite a few others looking. The houses in her price range are snapped up so quickly!

DS1 has accepted a new job (only moved him to this one in February). It’s literally across the field but does mean he has to move. He’s going to take his carpets with him and has got that sorted it’s tied accommodation so they won’t mind and he bought them in February so not been down long.

DS2 has just signed a contract to work in Amsterdam for a week could possibly be longer and he’s hoping to fly out tomorrow.

Oh blast it about the offer - poor DD, she must be gutted.

It really is all go in your world at the moment though isn't it!
