No special occasion. DD1 had booked in before we moved and the others had made a note of the dates.

  • How wonderful to have most of your children around.

The photos were beautiful, especially the sea photo. Glad you were able to launch the boat. Have you had chance to go out in her yet?

Yes it it lovely but I forget how needy they are and how much stuff a baby has. At least the 4 hounds are asleep. They’ve gone out for a bit. I think they’ll be back soon as the weather is vile.

Hoping to get the boat out again this week, especially with the chaps up.

Didn’t have a great nights sleep. Had to go into town to get DS1s tyres (2 punctures due to state of the roads). Felt very hot and like my heart was ‘fluttering’. Hard to describe. Now off for a nana nap and I’m sure I’ll be grand.

That doesn't sound great L - make sure you take it easy and get checked if it carries on.

Hope you feel better soon. If it recurs definitely get heart check. Have you got a fitness watch that could track heart rate?

No I haven’t got one of those watches. Been ok since.

DS1,GF and DGD left in the early hours and only have a couple more hours driving till they’re home. He has a busy week as he leaves his job on first and has to move house. Friends are coming this weekend to move big stuff, carpets are being uplifted and relaid on Tuesday. Had to lend him some money so he could get some heating oil. It does mean it’ll leave us short for the stove install as lent DS2 some money before he left to work in Amsterdam.

They managed to get out in the boat yesterday, I was on grandma duty. The girls want to go out today if the tide and weather is ok. They’re both off home tomorrow. It’s going to be very quiet.

DD1 has had an offer accepted on a house and it’s a private sale. We’ve been sorting that this week. Solicitor said probs Christmas to move. This means we’ll be having her dogs as there is no garden. This is fine as it was impacting on her life and not a decision she’s made lightly. I did have to have a mum talk with her. It’s not like they’re going into a shelter.
Still not decided about shifts at the guesthouse. I think just see how it pans out and how the finances look.
