Roundtuit - quite right too, you enjoy the Winter Olympics. The housework will always be there so just put your feet up!

I've done some housework and this is what is left to do:

Clean anything higher than eye level
Clean the DW/WM drawers and filters

Wednesday - Living Room, hall and stairs
    Clean a window or two
Declutter anything that doesn't belong in this room
    Dust the mantle and tv

Thursday - Master bedroom and Landing

So, in my 15 minutes, I: put a bag full of shredded paper in the recycling box; put an empty bag in the shredder; shredded paper for 5 minutes; cleared the small table by my armchair; dusted the table; started to replace items tidily; fetched a decorative mug from the kitchen to store pens in on the table; recycled 3 cardboard book marks.

    And breathe...

I suspect this 'unsettledness' is because Christina is coming here to visit tonight :o (which is crazy as we've been friends since forever - 40+ years - and we always just pick up where we left off and can both talk for England when we're together. It'll be fine - as long as she doesn't want to use the bathroom _pale_ :naughty::eek: :o) I feel sick :(

    Rxx

ETA Right - I'm going up to clean the basin and the bath - the toilet is actually fine, it's the rest of the room that is minging!

Get well soon Little Miss Atb x

Today I have managed to take DS2 to the barbers and 1xwm.
I have also helped find Lego pieces. Why does it make so much noise in a plastic tub?

Yesterday I saved £30 of internet protection plus an extra month free,£5 per month on boiler, plumbing etc insurance and £10 a month on tv,broadband and phone package with a new box and hub. Kerrching...

Thanks for the thoughts. He was a bit better yesterday when we went to a Pokemon tournament. I was brave and drove all the way so we could escape quickly if he kicked off.

I need to order some shoes for dancepops as his feet are swollen and he can!!!8217;t get any of his current ones on.

Atb s*d the Flying for today; just concentrate on helping DD declutter her scarlet fever. x

Roundtuit *calm thoughts* you've plenty of time to de-mingify the bathroom before your friend arrives.
I know how you feel though; I get wound up tighter than a coiled spring every time Mr LW has his pal over here.

Thank you LW xx As I was typing I sort of knew you would know what I was talking about. The bathroom is now 30 minutes less mingier than it was erm... 30 minutes ago :o - and to use your word I'm now krackered (my forehead is leaking and everything!!)

I had a bit of a  moment (although it may just have been lightheadedness at kneeling, stretching and scrubbing all at the same time :o) Two  actually: 1. I can get up from the floor :T (I am now over two stones lighter than I was at my heaviest so that probably helps :o) and 2. it's not all deep down ming, it's mostly surface ming and I reckon with the correct cleaning products and 'tools' the bathroom will come up like new. Guess who's now planning on visiting Mr W!!ko when she goes in to town to pick up her prescription tomorrow.

And if Christina wants to use the bathroom (I still hope not) she will understand that it, like me, is a work in progress. She helped me through my breakdown last year. H2H :)

Thank you once again for being a safe place to 'unpack' what's happening in my head, and for your support. My flylady friends :)

  • Hi all

Supposed to be at job no. 2 but I have skived off. I will work at home. It actually makes no difference whether I work there or here but they like me to go in. The downside for me is that job no. 2 is 20 minutes away in the car and the office is freezing cold and very noisy. I just feel like I need a bit of peace and quiet this afternoon.

So I have quickly hoovered and put another load of washing in. Before paid stuff no. 1 I put casserole in SC, hung washing out, emptied DW and made packed lunches (while DH was in bed of course).

    Right, work to do.

My sentiments precisely - this is a really supportive thread - no one ever judges you and you are free to be yourself xx

Done all the cleaning I'm going to do now. The house looks much better - didn't do everything on the list but have added some of my own like vacuuming right through (again), sorting out old pens etc. I think I'm even going to put an hour down as H2H!! Best thing is J is now sorting out things too and I swear that this cleaning/tidying/putting away lark is contagious!
