Hoping Fayolle's DD had a satisfactory appointment this morning. *fingers crossed*
Sorry it's all back to normal today, Dizzy, but I hope you enjoyed yesterday nonetheless.
Carpet washing today. Nothing's happened in particular but there a couple of high traffic areas that are just beyond the pale and it seems the handheld attachment on the machine is quite good at dealing with the grime provided I supply the elbow grease. Worthwhile, even if it is hard work. The things I'll do to avoid froggie jobs ....Better is good enough.0 -
christmas gubbins away.
large broken thing binned
TD on
WM on
landing tat restacked
2 binbags of rubbish flung.
huge bag of clothing washed due to cat pee... dirty little grub.
council phoned to growl about skanky neighbours flytipping!!
I can access the girls drawers and see the landing now and a quick reshuffle in the girls room has cleared some play space.
I might get food now.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Well done on achievements everyone. Hope all the sleep is helping her to feel better atb.
Gym first thing - wasnt feeling it today but I went - then paid stuff. Called at library so I have two nice new books to read.
More paid stuff next. Its a something-and-chips sort of tea tonight so need to have a rummage in the freezer. I am quite tempted to have eggs, chips and beans.
Glad its Friday (even if I end up doing a bit of paid stuff tomorrow).0 -
More frogs munched and chunks of paperwork flung. It look so innocuous as a sentence but I'm shattered. Still, H2H is progressing slowly even if I'm no slinkier.Better is good enough.0

Is it just my 17 y/o who, when you ask do you want me to decorate the room? what colour? do you want a new bed? what type? The answer to everything is 'dunno'.... *slap*

Thank you for your well wishes. DD's scan was clear, so we carry on. Hospital staff were lovely.
I didn't make it into work after going back and forth to the hospital, so I did get to spend an hour or so digging at the allotment, all in the name of slinky. It was hard work but surely it must have burnt some pounds before tomorrow's weigh in. The builder has gone now until Monday, so I did a quick sweep of downstairs to get rid of the worst, and then a s&s of the downstairs loo and ensuite.
Dinner has been eaten, wine has been drunk. Let the weekend begin x0 -
Hmm Pigpen 17 is a funny age, managed a 25 mile car journey with mine last week and he didn't speak a single word. DS1 however can chatter away non-stop for hours when he gets going
Chilling out with a gin, fire lit, feet up. Fay I am with you, bring on the weekend!0 -
I'm in the bath, trying to warm my bones, as it's freezing here. I had to chip the ice off the chickens' water this morning and it was the feeder that was inside the heated hen house, so I know it was cold! The car took an age to de-ice and warm up before school but I put the heated seats on, so it was lovely and warm to get into.
PTA meeting attended after school drop off, and I (inexplicably, and to my own horror) found myself volunteering to run an after school club  I keep being invited to meetings, despite repeated declining to join said PTA. What have I done?
Washing and ironing shuffled about, ready for the morning but not much else to report...hmm, I did put out the recycling and rubbish bins. Went to softplay after school closed, where Tiny turned into a demon monster, demanding money for the "utter carp" toys you can get through a good dispenser.
Better scrub up before I fall asleep in the rapidly cooling water.
Hope the weekend brings you fun and blessings.0
