It's a BT white label managed service and BTw is responsible for hardware and customer services.
As a matter of slight interest it's exactly the same product as those punters who fell for RedTen "were" on until they stopped paying the bills.“I look like Spiderman at a funeral”~ Karl Pilkington0 -
BT Landline with vitually free caller display. £10.50 + 2 off peak calls 9p= £10.59p a month.
PO Landline with Caller Display £9.99p + £1.75p= £11.73p a month.
The charge for caller display has always put me off moving from BT for line rental but my Dad changed to PO a few months back and he has caller ID included included in the £9.99 fee, I've seen the paperwork. Maybe they match what you currently have?0 -
Let us know how long it takes them to fix it. As they recently sent out a special (3 months "free") offer there are probably others considering signing-up.
Does anybody have any further information on this offer as my Dad upgraded to the full Bband package just over a month ago. I wonder if I can still get him the free 3 months?
Any help much appreciated.0 -
He will get it automatically.
For customers already using their broadband before the 3 month free offer was announced, they are adding 3 free months free credit onto their accounts at the end of their contract (ie, they will get 15 months service but only pay for the first 12)0 -

don't suppose I can get it now if I apply0 -
It's for their current customers (who already have their line rental with them).
The offer finishes on 31/3/08.
Maybe you can order both together and get the free 3 months at the same time (you have till close of business on Monday)?
No harm in asking.0 -
Has anyone looked at the deals that the PO are offering at present? They seem very good but I am not sure what their customer service or technical support is going to be like and how easy it is to set up. I have been with AOL for approx. 4 years and have had enough of the £25 per month fee. The connection speed with AOL is also getting slower and keeps disconnecting. Any thoughts?0

If you phone up aol and threaten to leave I'm pretty sure there shave between 10-15 of that a month easy.
If they don't then perhaps it is best to look at other options.
I cant comment on the post office myself but aol is now owned by talk talk which can only be a bad thing.0 -
The post office just resells a BTw white label package and as such it is BTw who handle support.
As for connection problems it's probably worth checking filters/wiring etc. just to confirm it's not a problem on your side of things - http://www.kitz.co.uk/adsl/connectionprobs.htm although in saying that AOL are not the most reliable of ISPs.“I look like Spiderman at a funeral”~ Karl Pilkington0 -
Has anyone any experience/advise on the PO packages?Best regards
MikeWhen I was young I knew all the answers.
Now I'm only just beginning to understand the questions.0
