Tonight I put my walking boots on and went for a slightly longer walk it's a start. Got a food delivery today which was good too and cooked some gammon for tomorrow so hopefully we'll stay on track this week.

Thanks all. Paid £87.20 off CC3. My regular saver matured and I got over £48 in interest - my best ever! This was on my emergency fund - if I'd not raided it during the year it would be more but it was still a great start.

    Thanks Purple.

Well I've re-forecast my spreadsheet - and I am still on track for next Nov to be CC free - even with reducing payments this month and next. It is really important for me to keep on top of that as when it feels out of control or as if I've 'failed' - its a bit like dieting and makes me want to crash out big style. I keep having to tell myself it is a budget adjustment. It's normal. Things happen and I am still on track so stay that way.

I've resisted the urge to eat out for two nights on the run so that's something at least.

DD went to school on her bike yesterday. DH had fitted anti-puncture inner-tubes at the weekend. She said it rode weird so he ended up picking her up on his way home. Luckily he was doing weird hours this week so was coming home much earlier than usual. She went for a brief ride last night and said it was much better.

Yesterday I got the photocopying done to take to DD's appointment on the 25/11. It took 40 minutes - partly because the photocopier kept logging off and I needed to do it batches anyway. I did an extra copy for her of most things as she is 16 and may want her own file.

We are 9 days from payday - so need to try and make the groceries stretch and the fuel money to minimise the damage we've done to the emergency fund this month.

    Hi SH

Are you doing any of your glass for Christmas? If so could you take them to work and sell them there?

Good news that DD has started using her bike to go to school again and hopefully the oddness in the way it felt from the new inner tubes (presumably?) is something she'll get used to nice and quickly. Good plan to do her her own copies of paperwork too - that will hopefully help her feel more as though she's in control of things a bit?

I'm with you on wanting to make groceries and fuel money stretch as far as possible this month!
