Hi savings
i'm glad you enjoyed your night away xx
I hope you get all the help you need for DD - i know i find it hard enough going to the docs to battle for something just for me, so tend to put it off
If you're going on the nights out make the decision to enjoy yourself so don't fret, just think of a few easy conversation lines you can use with people and if you're struggling complement someone
I also need to lose weight and am self-conscious about this so i do know where you're coming from ((hugs))

I have just had to do the dreaded Dla form again for the smallest, was in tears by the end of it. So hard to have to describe his worst days. I hate that it is so negative, and it feels judgy too.
I hope the assessment goes OK.
Enjoy an evening out with your husband. I would love to go to these sorts of things, but my hubby refuses all these invitations with his work.
I hate having to fill out the forms as well. It is so upsetting and anyone that has to has my sympathy.
SavingH - your H's work do sounds great! I think I'd be opting out of the Chinese meal night as sounds arduous.

I think you do need to go to some of these events, after all you are trying to get back into some form of social life. Treat these as practice runs
I have no suggestions about outfits aside from go in something you like and feel comfortable in, you don't want to feel uncomfortable in an outfit you don't like.
Fingers crossed you get the answers you desperately need for your DD, then you can focus on what needs to be done and how she can get through her course.
Nice bonus from A pension, that could be an anniversary date meal each year when you retire.
It will all work out with DS and MIL.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.0 -
Lovely idea re using the small pension annually for the anniversary date mealIf you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

Had a fantastic sleep last night which helped loads. I've banished DH to my DS's room for a few days so I can get more sleep and it's working. He came home ill today - but not helped by DD being at a sleepover and repeatedly texting him between 4am and 5am. However bad it sounds, glad we've been sharing germs less than normal this week lol!
In debt fighting news £75 went out to CC1 today. DD is going to a theme park tomorrow with a friend - really hope that goes well as she doesn't know the friend that well... and it's an hour from home...
Walked pooch tonight. Walking boots have now arrived too - just sprayed them with protector. Getting some of those bungee cord laces in the hope that it motivates me to go out walking with pooch more. She is gorgeous! Getting my hair done at the weekend. DH was supposed to go wood copicing on Sunday but may not be able to go if he's feeling unwell.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Tell us more about the walking boots or did I miss that bit?

It's amazing how a good night's sleep makes a difference, you need to try and work out how much sleep you need to feel like you have had a sleep!
Fingers crossed DD has a lovely time, it may actually be better she doesn't know her new friend that well as DD will only be known to the new friend for how she is now not how she was.
Glad your boots came, start by doing some 10 minute walks a few times a day, then build up a little; means you get to carefully break your boots in and make sure you are not overdoing it xMortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.0 -
Thanks guys. DD had a great time yesterday and didn't call us out to pick her up until this afternoon - so lovely respite for us too. I took pooch for a short walk - as you say - have to start somewhere. It was raining earlier when I had planned to go - so took her this evening. The walking boots are to try and encourage me to go for longer walks as I still haven't forced myself to join the gym.
Restful day today, finished with a takeaway for £24. This hasn't been a great money month - so will be good to have a fresh start mid month. Not due to be in the red on bank accounts but seriously depleted our emergency fund. Have updated my spreadsheet today so hopefully will get back on the wagon £ wise. .Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030
