Thanks GAP. Always good to remember.
I really want to go to my balance class but at the same time I'm exhausted. Going to have tea and see how I feel. The route to the gym is gridlocked though so may not be an option. It also made me late getting home. Gridlock caused by unnecessary temporary traffic lights in both directions stuck on red. One pushed to the side - and one where people were just waiting.... Not great on a stressed day!!
I do have nice food for tea though. Leftover roasties, garlic brined chicken, carrots, onions and peas. I think I might make more cake later... Definitely feels like a cake week!!
I've had to order a £20 webcam and microphone as I can't take my exam without it - and borrowing others laptops didn't work. I had to use the chat text function today which made a boring course 10x worse. I thought the exam was part of the course tomorrow but I have to book it separately and I am worried all the boring stuff will just leak out of my brain
And breathe.
I have to keep telling myself that my sis gave me some £ so I would be less stressed and have cashflow for what needs to happen. If I use any of it at all this month it should only be £50 or so... I just have to delay savings for paying off Ex. Next month - even if the divorce goes through at the target date - my earliest mortgage date is the 15th of the following month - so I have a bit of leeway. I do love that for once in my life - someone else anticipated my need and provided for it. That doesn't usually happen for me - I'm usually the one doing that for others.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

I think we completed around the 14th savingholmes and our first mortgage payment plus the two weeks from 14th to end of month was taken on the 30th - same month of completion. Seemed crazy to me that they give it (in the form of a mortgage) and almost immediately take about £1500 of it back. Also seemed a bit rude"Think of many things, do one"

I am hoping to complete on 19th. Fixed mortgage pay day is 15 th so they tack some interest on but not extra repayment.
Thanks MF and Sandy. I've sent the conveyancer everything they asked for so on track so far.

So day 2 of ultra boring course today. WFH today - as they gave long breaks yesterday and that's easier to deal with at home.
I went to L1dl yesterday and spent £17 - not really in budget - for life essentials - crisps, grape juice drink, dark hazelnut chocolate - and the odd item of justifiable food. I shared with DD who isn't feeling well at all.
Feel a little less wiped today - I think it didn't help last weekend that we went from 2 people in the house back to 4. Really hoping Ex goes into work today. He should have been doing DD's drop offs next week but it's fallen on me. I've asked him to do the following 2 weeks then. He's still not organised storage for his stuff and his mum doesn't have room for it all. He's running out of time... I really hope that doesn't become my problem.
I washed some full length silver curtains from the loft - and think I will put those up in what was Ex's study. They are really pretty. They are pencil pleat though and the lining is held on (or not) with separate hooks that are busy falling out. I need to redo all the hooks - and find/buy some rings... have a feeling we may have binned them.
Life admin still to do
1) Finish doing new will
2) Amend expression of wish form for third pension
3) Pay solicitors bill for divorce
4) Buy youngest niece a birthday present / find one in the house
5) Do washing
6) Bake cakes
7) Go to Balance class tonight
8) Perhaps take dog for a walk
9) Pick up meds for DD (Sinusitus)
10) Make room in freezer for leftovers
11) Continue emptying the loft over the weekend
12) Find / get hooks and rings for curtains
13) Take stuff to charity shop
At least at dinner I have prepared meals I can eat which is positive. I will also have my lovely dog for company today and she's always good for a cuddle.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Hope DD is starting to feel a bit better - MrEH has always suffered from sinusitis and it's a miserable thing isn't it.
That's a monster of a list you have to tackle there though - but all good progress on getting to where you want to be and with the addition of a bit of self-care time in there with the Balance class and the dog walking.
Fingers crossed Ex cracks on and gets his storage sorted. I'd say is there one room you can use to accumulate his "stuff" in so he can see the scale of the issue all in one place but I wonder if the risk then is that it will just stay there, mind you at least then it wouldn't be scattered all over the house I guess!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Is the sinus thing the one where it feels like your eyebrows are trying to meet your cheekbones? Pharmacies understand exactly what you mean if you say that surprisingly.

Ex is accumulating stuff everywhere but until he's organised storage there's nowhere for it to go. Nephew still clogging up MIL's garage.

The chemist only had half of what she needed so that's not helpful either. Got to go back later.
Coming back to list. Washing virtually done. Now need to put in the dryer and put away.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Just realise I don't know how to PM you & I don't want to be accused of giving medical advice. So this is definitely not medical advice & I suggest you speak to a pharmacist & you can only get this from a Pharmacy. Boots Pseudoephedrine hydrochloride or Sudafed decongestant (I prefer Boots it is cheaper & slightly stronger). It appears to be the only Sudafed you have to get from the actual pharmacy. In my case the chesty cough seems to be a side effect as it soon disappears.
