Don't forget that even if you do your tax return today you don't have to pay until much later. I would recommend doing your return before the end of the year as it can get a bit hairy in January. If you have a lot of tax to pay this year (usually over £1k) you may have to pay some in advance for the current year. If you can file online they are a doddle. Basically just read the questions carefully & if you have any worries just ask on cutting tax. I file for a friend & I always work out how much is due before I file so that I can see before I submit if anything has gone wrong. I am a bit worried about filing this year as he received one of those early taxable covid grants but I believe they have put in a question about that too.So sorry to hear about your family member. The shock can knock you for six.2

And what do you plan to do with the old curtains? I hope you are able to donate them to a good cause. People always need curtains. What I do not give, you must never take by force.

Oooh - I love that colour palette SH. We decorated our dining room in a mustard yellow and are intending to decorate the living room and kitchen in similar shades.
Must be the week for curtain buying - I've just ordered some too 😁

Hi Bad Memory - apparently I misread the form and I don't have to file until next May - unless I decide to wind the company up before then. I've not earned enough apparently either for it to count as 'active' so not in trouble there either.
Tahlullah - a family member wants the old curtains - and I hate them so win:win.
Fortune - I think yellow/mustard goes round in phases but I have a blue and cream colour scheme upstairs in one of the bedrooms and a couple of yellow cushions so having matching yellow curtains will be nice. Downstairs - I'm hoping that the vertical stripes will make the room seem bigger. The curtains I'm getting are also full length where my current ones are mid length but look really dull and plain to me... They are due Monday... I want to paint the living room before I put them up though so although I will try them against the window I'm not planning to put them up quite yet.
I did some more weeding and pruning today. I also sat on a bench for a while and journalled outdoors which also felt good. I enjoyed watching pollinating insects and butterflies on my purple butterfly bush. I bought 3 pots for house plants for a fiver today (BnM) - so I now have orchids in a nice grey and white patterned pot, some indoor yellow roses in a pot and still have a spare for a couple of plants I bought recently and put upstairs. I found a grey pot outside while I was clearing the garden so am sorted for now... Trying to bring more greenery indoors. Yesterday I also cut some spiky pink flowers - Persicaria amplexicaulis 'Firetail' and put them in a vase so they are brightening up the kitchen. Today I picked a load more apples.
I have been over spending in my week since payday so need to rein it in again.

I would have loved to have sat outside today and enjoy the world being itself, but the heavens had other plans...
Are you journaling for another book?
The plants sound a nice indoor addition.
You've made me want to add apple pie to our weekend shop, living from the freezer next week so just some fresh bits to get.😇
Take care, G.If it's not adding up, compound it!4 -
Hi Grogged
I journal as part of processing my world. Sometimes story ideas make it in as well.
It can also be a gratitude journal, a to do list and tracker. I sometimes read back and it helps me to see patterns. I am also sticking colouring in... So it's pretty and creative. Keeps me sane...Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030
