So nice of you/DH and your neighbour to rescue the stray. Hope he/her finds their owners again. I'm the same with food - the cupboards are starting to groan a bit."Think of many things, do one"

How did you manage that many hours 😲

Ouch that's a long week, hope you can have a better one this week. Well done on catching the stray."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee4

Hope you have a better week with work. Remember, you definitely can't cram 5 days into the bank holiday week. Make sure you do take the time back - it's so easy to let extra hours accrue and not get around to taking the time back. I'm terrible at this - had a rubbish day at work today which has made me sit down and reflect on how much of my time and energy I give to my job. Was so fed up today that I bought fish and chips and had a glass of wine. Luckily I had just enough money in my takeaway budget and just enough wine left in my weekend bottle and I'm hoping that Tuesday night fish and chips contain very few, if any calories 🤣8

I can confirm that fish and chips on a Tuesday definately don't have calories!! x9

That's a relief Four Seasons. I was a bit worried about the calories as I've been sitting on the sofa too full to move all evening but glad to know that it wasn't caused by a calorie surge 😋5

Thanks MF, Blackcats, FourSeasons and Jwil.
I'm sure my takeaways were calorie free too Blackcats LOL
I saw my sister, BIL and youngest niece today and we sat in the garden which was nice. Another £75 direct debit came off the target CC (normal fixed direct debit). I did go to a shop yesterday with DD as we were stir crazy and spent £120+ can't really tell you on what. £40 was dog food and toys but after that who knows? Don't think I am going to make my debt repayment target this month - still done well though.
I am taking some time back this week but can't ignore work altogether...Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

I think the spends are a consequence of being so busy, although just because it was a bit less controlled I would imagine you didn't completely splurge
difficult to take time back sometimes, I always regard TOIL (Time off in lieu) as second class break, so happy to take calls and check emails, but proper holidays I don't do that (generally)I think I saw you in an ice cream parlour

Thanks Mark and MF. Having some crazy times with work this week - ending up part working even while I'm supposed to be off. Stressful. Going to see my parents in their garden today though - first time since Xmas so that's good.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030
