I worked late today too but closer to 9pm instead of 11pm!! I started late today though and took a break for an hour and went out with the dog and then picked up DD. Shattered and have a headache - but in my interest to get it done. When I get through it - I will take back some flexi. I went into work yesterday and will again tomorrow. Just another week to work and then I am off for a week and a half over Easter.
Money is going reasonably okay so far. Although DH bought DD a new helmet £27 - not in budget. Safety first though.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Thanks MF. Worked exceptionally late today too - but will get flexi back later. I think I've now got to the bottom of what I was challenged to do - so now it is hopefully going to be more straightforward. I did buy myself a steak, chips, mushrooms and onions treat on the way home from work as my reward for going in.
Managed to walk with pooch yesterday and today so that's good at least. My cleaner returns in April so not long to go before my house stops looking like a tip. Things are ticking along. Still not done ppi tax reclaim - maybe I'll have the energy at the weekend.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

At least you get your time back when you do it.
Your reward was a good choice.
Is it really bad I'm thinking about not doing the tax reclaim? I'd go as far as saying I would happily pay someone to do it and I'm entitled to more than the usual £200 🙈Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.7 -
Hi SH,
It's good that you'll get the time back and if it's helped you get on top of what you needed to get done then I guess it was worth it.
Your treat sounded nice and definitely deserved.
I agree about the helmet, although not budgeted, well worth it.

The helmet was a great buy (spoken as someone who recently had an accident!)

Worked 72 hours last week!! Did a short day today - and will be taking some of that time back this week. Unsurprisingly I feel completely whacked. No idea where our finances are at - definitely overspent by about £100 on food. Don't regret it though... roll eyes...
I did get involved in rescuing a stray dog today. Managed to get a collar and lead on it and then a neighbour and DH drove it to a vet and left it there. Felt virtuous.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030
