Great progress on debt!
For my weight loss I concentrated on habits that took me towards where I wanted to be and not dieting.
My most recent habit has been soup everydayIf you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

I like that DIA. I love soup so that could work. Increasing fibre seems to be helping too LOL.
I've just spent 2 hours on insta asking people to download my book for free this weekend... 3 books downloaded so far... It's hard to judge how much time to spend on that kind of promotion and how much to spend just writing the next book. Also need to get out with doggy for a walk. I read someone else's book until 3.45am last night. Oops! But I did stay in bed until noon so it balanced out.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Weightloss is hard, takes so much willpower not to grab treats, not keep nibbling throughout the day and make a conscious effort to do something resembling exercise, even if it's walking around the house a bit more. However, you did do it before with the 5/2 diet and it made a difference. I remember you posting up what you had lost.
Maybe the direct approach is better, instead of subtle promotion.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.5 -
Hi MF. I know what to do but definitely fit in the comfort and boredom eating category. Pooch is gazing longingly out of the window.... but I think I might read for a bit instead.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Maybe when we're out of lockdown your thoughts will change and the drive return, for now I've think you've a lot on and haven't the time to really think about how to tackle it.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.4

I am thrilled with our debt busting progress. It feels unbelievable. Trying to get DH to make a payment to his CC. His eyes went wide and shifty - he doesn't know where his credentials are. Perhaps I ought to tell him I have the card.... That might help LOL. He's still not up aka hiding from the kids. DD made dinner which was sweet.
I have had 16 downloads so far this weekend - 1 from here, 1 from FB and 14 that I would guess are from IG (India, Austrailia, UK and USA) - so direct messaging worked. However IG has stopped me sending any more messages for now so I'll have to wait. I have learned some new #tags for IG though so at least I know for future. Just hoping some of them leave reviews and help others find them. I've tried to target bookbloggers this time. Am**** are sending me some more royalties.
Really ought to do some washing and take pooch for a walk. DH has paid DD £15 to tidy one of our rooms and declutter. Definitely the way to go LOL.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

The tulips DS gave me last Monday are still looking really good. I haven't written anything for my book for the last few days - need to get back to it. I have however been thinking about our next goals. At the same time I am trying to pull myself back to the present. We've paid £8299 off this year in 80 days which is phenomenal. I need to learn to celebrate that more rather than always just rushing on to the next thing. I've had 156 downloads of my book in 83 days - plus a further 2818 pages read on KU - equivalent to another 14 books. Not bad going for a debut author who thought she had no author platform. There's more to do. There will always be more to do but I promise myself to stay in the moment and be grateful. To dwell and be thankful.
Now can I rush on??? Just kidding... No - it's a tug of war. Present vs future. I wish I could apply this same debt busting drive to weight loss, to decluttering, to redecorating, to fitness. In theory I can - but its like a switch - and currently it feels stuck in the off position. So I need to start with the little things. Get dressed. Put some washing on. Unpack and pack the dishwasher. Take pooch for a walk. See if DH is awake and get him moving too. He said yesterday he wanted a long walk with our dog. Put some gammon in the oven for later. Convince DS to peel potatoes so we can have roasties.
I still haven't done the PPI tax reclaim. I think I will do the one for the bigger amount for which I think I have the tax details on interest paid etc. Because it is from 2019/20 it is more accessible. I will aim to do that today.
