how how nice to be appreciated by work - well deserved I'm sure.
it's good that your daughter can now meet up with her friends. Lockdown has been very tough for youngsters.5 -
Thanks MF, HSL, Jwil, Lucielle and Blackcats
I do like my boss in particular. When the cleaner came our dog jumped up at her with excitement for 5 or 10 minutes - I told her we were just as excited. She said she was happy it was just the dog jumping up and down LOL...
The robin was a lovely touch - especially because I watched Secret Garden last weekend and that has a special robin too. I've been catching up on the washing todayHad a quiet day today. Hoping to make some art tomorrow - I am waiting for a particular colour to arrive and then plan to get stuck in. Bought some new giant stir sticks too so I can do acrylic pouring. . Still not been to see MIL. Maybe this weekend.
DD has made me sign up to the gym for her - she plans to go as soon as they re-open. It's been really good for her this week balancing revision with catching up with friends. The final few weeks of sixth form left to go... Will be over by end of May latest - but probably if all exams and marks are in - by end of April. Weird times.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

It will be beneficial doing art again, lose yourself in colours and see where creativity leads.
When DD finishes it's one less stress, although I appreciate it's replaced by others.

Thanks MF - I did three 20cm x 40cm panels yesterday and had fun. Still waiting for them to dry. I want to do some more painting later but need to get these ones out of the way first. I used blues, greens, copper and gold and white - love the contrasts. I may do some further 'touching up' painting to get certain sections quite how I want them but will see how I go on.
DS bought me some yellow and pinky red flushed tulips yesterday. They are very pretty.
Spoke to my GP and agreed to amend my medication to see if it helps with sleep. Chemist has had to order it in though. Also organised a blood test to check on cholesterol, sugars etc. Hope that comes back okay - but if not hopefully it will be a catalyst to get on top of eating and exercise. Back to work next week - not looking forward to it. GP said she'd give me a sick note if I need one. Torn because work is my main social... and part of my support system... Will see how I go. Struggling to leave my house at the moment - but have to physically go in the office one day next week - and it's in my interest to do so. Just need the current storm to pass and then hopefully things will settle again.
DH got very excited yesterday - he was like in 10 days we'll owe £3K something instead of £6K something... He's getting excited now it's becoming real. I think unless I use our EF - that our DFD is going to spill into June payday period... Will see...Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Hope you are feeling better soon.
That's great news about the debt, not long to go now!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee4 -
They sound good SH.
I hope things settle soon and maybe have a chat with your manager to get a bit of breathing space.
Let it move into June, take the pressure off and don't be upset about it, look how much you've paid off!Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.6 -
Great that DH is really onboard with the debt reduction. My DH is now onboard with the programme, but whenever I try to talk figures he just greys out. I wish he would be excited at what we are achieving. Still, I'm just glad that he now leaves all the money management to me. June is so close, your DFD is almost here."Think of many things, do one"

Well this pay period we reduced our debt by £2997.
Target CC is now: £4713
Final CC is now: £1426
£6139 revised total
Our EF is hovering around the £1K mark plus or minus £100 so happy enough with that.
In April pay period there will be an impact from buying extra holidays - so not sure what pay will be. Also DD's 18th, cleaning has restarted, DD and I have haircuts booked in. We will probably eat out if we can get in a pub somewhere around her birthday (might spill into May pay day). DH will start going back into work part week and I'm occasionally going in... so fuel spend rising. Will rise further once free to travel... On the plus side this should be the last month of tutoring expenses - so from May pay onwards will get £70 back a month. On the negative side - DD wants driving lessons as soon as possible.
Planning roast beef for tea. Going to try and make myself go out with DH and dog in a bit. Off to shower and dress now LOL. Have a good Sunday all.

great summary and great progresswhen you feel the need to plunge into driving lessons I have some (reasonably recent) experience - happy to share. our instructor was a personal friend and was an instructor instructor - his one piece of advice is strategic delay - I don't want to worry you but the correlation between taking your test quickly and having your first crash is very strong, as is youth when taking the test. This is partly to do with time behind the wheel and partly due to how teenagers brains and relationship with the world changes (entitlement and maturity) even over 6 months. That said starting in summer is good timing especially if you have a safe place to practice with her - but note learners insurance can be as expensive as the equivalent time with the instructorI think I saw you in an ice cream parlour

Hi Mark - I am planning to pay an instructor - I think I would yell if I was trying to teach her to drive. I don't think DH would be much better. I take on board your views on intensive driving courses... Something to think about.
In other news - because we paid a whole £3.54 off our interest only mortgage this month - we did meet our £3K debt repayment targetAchieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030
