Thanks MF, DIA and Blackcats. Yes, felt I lost myself for a bit. Better now.
Really happy today as I final sorted my bank details for future Am**** royalties and sorted my US tax status ready for being paid. Now working through an extremely long checklist to get my book uploaded. I have been awake at stupid o'clock and then napped to compensate - so getting through. I had fresh fruit salad for breakfast/lunch. For tea I made us 4 a lovely Christmas dinner all our own and then sat down to write what I planned to be a short story. 1600 words later - that my DH and DS even like - I feel I have started another fantasy book. Hopefully I can alternate between the activities needed to publish my current book - and writing this new one. It feels very fresh and is more of a historical teen fantasy rather than urban fantasy of my previous one.
Money-wise I'm all caught up. We are doing really well I think. Last December we paid off about £300 in total - whereas this month I think it will be close to £1450 which feels like a miracle in itself. Especially given that Christmas is already paid for and our emergency fund of over £1K is intact despite lending DD £ for her IPAD. It does feel good not borrowing from my future self. I've written a tight plan for getting debt free come June - or hopefully May. I am also looking into options for passive income streams - particularly if I am getting my business up and running - the more the merrier. I am determined to find a way to replace at least my income - preferably DH's as well - so that we then have more freedom over where we can live and a better chance of affording a place with land.
My favourite xmas present were sets of lights for our back garden. Need to work out where best to place them but exciting and should help open the space for use more months of the year and longer into the evening.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Great to hear that you're feeling better.

That it isn't always enough, to be forgiven by others.
Sometimes, you have to learn to forgive yourself.

Today is a gift. That's why it is called the present.
happiness isn't achieved by getting extra things,
but by getting rid of the things that make you unhappy3 -
That sounds a really productive step forward sorting out bank details and preparing to upload - really exciting! My friend IRL has written and published 4 or 5 books for the teen market through Amazon and has found that the US download sales have been good.
